When you think about management and strategy games, Paradox Interactive is one of the first publishers that comes to mind. Which is why the publisher’s latest announcement feels, well, natural. The publisher has announced a publishing partnership with Urban Games, developers of the award-winning Transport Fever game series, and will publish the latest entry in the series, Transport Fever 3.

“We are delighted to partner with Paradox Interactive, a publisher that shares our core values and long-term vision. Together, we will continue on the path we have set for Transport Fever 3 and deliver the greatest possible value to the players, for which this partnership will have nothing but positive effects. We are honored to join forces with such a respected publisher, and Transport Fever 3 is now on an even stronger track to reach its full potential when it launches later this year,” said Basil Weber, Founder and CEO at Urban Games in a press release.

As announced last year, Transport Fever 3 will launch for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2026. The most important part of this partnership is that it pertains only to the publication of Transport Fever 3, and it does not include intellectual property rights.

What is Transport Fever 3 about?

In Transport Fever 3, building a profitable transport empire is no longer the only goal; it is just the starting point. Financial management has been rebalanced to ensure a lasting challenge throughout the entire game. Profitable “money-printing” routes are harder to sustain, requiring players to revisit and optimize older lines as towns evolve and demands shift. Even well-established networks must be regularly refined to remain efficient and competitive.

Transport Fever 3 challenges players to design, build, and manage transport empires spanning railways, roads, shipping lanes, and air routes across 4 distinctive environments: temperate, desert, tropical, and new sub-arctic.

About the game, we said during our hands-on preview, “With enough new additions to core game mechanics, it’s easy to see how this can be a great selling point for veteran players, while the campaigns and tutorialization that come with make this title easy to jump right in if it’s your first in the series. “

What is the release date?

We do not have a release date for the game, but we do have a release window. The game will launch for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S sometime in 2026.
