Netflix’s latest Kdrama announcement has officially confirmed that production of its upcoming original series Long Vacation has begun. From the director behind Landing On You, Lee Jung-hyo, this series promises a supernatural romance between a demon and a human.

The talent that Netflix has pulled together is worth celebrating. In addition to Crash Landing On You, director Lee is also known for work on Doona!, and The Price of Confession, while the series’ writer, With cast led by Choo Young-woo and Lee Se-young, Last Vacation’s writer, Jung Hyun-jung, is well known for her work on I Need Romance, Lovestruck in the City, Romance is a Bonus Book, and Discovery of Love.

But it’s not just the talent behind the camera with Choo Young-woo and Lee Se-young bringing the original story to life. Choo Young-woo stars as Demon 3375, while Lee Se-young plays Deul-pan, setting up a fresh romantic pairing at the center of a supernatural love story with a grounded human emotional core.

What is the Long Vacation about?

The KDrama romance series’ offifcial synopsis from Netflix is: 

The series follows Demon 3375, a powerful being who has lived for centuries without ever understanding love, and Deul-pan, a sharp, capable hotel room attendant whose life skills are maxed out but whose world is anything but easy. When the two repeatedly cross paths at a seaside hotel, an unexpected relationship begins to shake everything Demon 3375 thought he knew.

Long Vacation has begun production in April 2026 and does not currently have a release date or release window set by the global streamer. The series will release exclusively on Netflix.
