Milla Jovovich took to the stage at The Game Awards 2025 initially to announce the winner of ‘Best Multiplayer.’ However, she had more up her sleeve while she was there. IO Interactive, the independent video game developer and publisher behind, among others, the internationally acclaimed Hitman franchise, announced via Milla Jovovich that she will be the newest member of the roster of celebrity Elusive Target.

“After a surreal Eminem vs. Slim Shady mission, we wanted to surprise our community with another unforgettable collaboration. Milla Jovovich will bring a unique intensity to her character, and this mission is packed with mystery. I am sure our fans will enjoy this one in just a few weeks,” said Hakan Abrak, CEO at IO Interactive.

“I am very excited to join the world of Assassination! I am stepping into an amazing character with Lilith; she is dangerous, she has ambition, and a dark secret. I can’t wait for Hitman fans to step into this new mission and uncover her story,” – Milla Jovovich.

In this new mission, Agent 47 is tasked with the elimination of Lilith Devereux, the ambitious prospective CEO of Ether Corporation.

A relative newcomer in the world of the high and mighty, Devereux’s rapid ascent has followed the mysterious deaths of her predecessor Neleis De Waal and chief scientists Silvio Caruso and Francesca De Santis. Her meteoric rise has been generously supported by Gregory Carlisle. For this mission, Agent 47 will visit the Carlisle Estate, based in the Dartmoor location, where tensions will reach a breaking point.

With Jovovich’s longstanding contribution to live-action adaptations of video games such as Resident Evil and Monster Hunter, this announcement is a long time coming. In all honesty, it wasn’t until she announced it at The Game Awards that I even realized that this was, in fact, her gaming debut.

The new Elusive Target mission will be available globally for free in February 2026 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, ROG Xbox Ally X, ROG Xbox Ally, PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, iPhone, and iPad.

What to do in Hitman World of Assassination until February?

Before taking off for Dartmoor, players can still play the unique Eminem vs. Slim Shady Elusive Target mission, accessible for free for all players on all platforms, until the 31st of December.

Taking place in a Hokkaido medical facility transformed into the Popsomp Hills Asylum, Agent 47 is tasked by Eminem to take down his alter ego, Slim Shady, once and for all.

The Eminem vs. Slim Shady, a brand new DLC pack themed after the latest Elusive Target, is also available for a limited time only, starting today and until the end of the mission, on December 31st, on all platforms.

More about Hitman World of Assassination

Hitman World of Assassination brings together the best of Hitman, Hitman 2, and Hitman 3 in a bumper package of content that includes the main campaign, Contracts mode, Escalations, Elusive Target Arcades, and featured live content.

The game also includes the ‘Freelancer’ mode, a new way to play on your own terms, that combines rogue-like elements and deep strategic planning with a persistent and infinitely replayable gameplay experience.

In the award-winning game, players control master assassin Agent 47 to explore stealth-based sandboxes and take down high-profile targets. Explore intricate, open-ended environments, using disguises, creative tools, and concealment tactics to execute missions.

From the glamorous runways of a fashion show in Paris to the dizzying heights of Dubai’s skyscrapers or the rapturous crowd of a high-speed race in Miami, operatives will travel all around the world to find their next target. The gameplay emphasizes strategy, improvisation, and replayability, rewarding experimentation and attention to detail.
