There is a lot on the way in the Kamish Raid Update. Netmarble has released its latest update for Solo Leveling: ARISE, the mobile game that takes players into the world of Solo Leveling, the anime that has taken the world by storm (and our critics). Now, we’re getting the American SSR Hunter Christopher Reed.
This December update lets players experience a new SSR Hunter, new combat mechanics, and various content updates. Here are the highlights – and they begin with Christopher Reed, voiced by the amazing Robbie Daymond, known for his work as Megumi in Jujutsu Kaisen.
Who is the new SSR Hunter – Christopher Reed?

The latest addition to playable hunters, Christopher Reed is a Fire-type Elemental Stacker and one of the National Level Hunters who weilds mana-based powers, which you can see two of below. Reed’s class, the Elemental Stacker, focuses on building up Elemental Overload effects on enemies.
- Basic Attack: Rising Star
- Core Attack: Offensive Pass
- Skill 1: Nitro Kick
- Skill 2: Foul Play
- STE Skill: Rising Performance
- Support Skill: Rapid Kick
- Special QTE Skill: Finishing Catch
- Ultimate Skill: Zero to a Hundred
- Transformation: Spiritual Body Manifestation

In the series, Christopher Reed makes his first appearance in the Japan Crisis Arc, where shortly after a S-Rank Gate spawned in Maryland, Chris is warned by Norma about his impending death. Taking her warning seriously, he accepts a piece of paper from her with Go Gunhee’s phone number on it, allowing him to contact Jinwoo for help.
He is also the Hunter who stopped the calamity known as Kamish, which also enters Solo Levelling: Arise this update. He also appears in the International Guild Conference Arc and the Ragnarok Arc.
But fans know him better as just simply one of the two strongest hunters in America and third overall in the entire world.
What is new in the Kamish Raid Update?

New Main Story Content
The Solo LEveling: ARISE December update adds Hidden Chapters 9 and 10 to the Main Story (Hard / Reverse Hard) and a new SSR Light-type weapon for Sung Jinwoo, the “Illusionblade.”
Hunter Class Restructure
Players will also experience a restructuring of the hunter classes that reformats the previous six classes into four. Fighter, Tank, Mage, Ranger, Assassin, and Healer become Striker, Breaker, Supporter, and Elemental Stacker. This is based on how they work in-game.
What is the Elemental Stacker class?

This restructure is also best exemplified by Chris Reed, and with Elemental Stacker being the entirely new class added in this December update, which introduces two new combat mechanics: Elemental Accumulation and Overload Damage.
Elemental Stackers can hit enemies with elemental weaknesses to charge the corresponding elemental gauge. Once the gauge reaches 100%, those enemies enter an Overload state, during which players can deal increased damage that bypasses reduction effects from the Break Gauge, offering new ways to dish out the pain.
Play Solo Leveling: ARISE in Co-Op mode

The update also introduces a new co-op mode, Edge of Illusion and Dreams, where two players can team up in real-time to take on challenging stages through random matchmaking or by creating rooms with guildmates or friends.
What is different in co-op mode?
- Difficulty: The difficulty increases as players progress, with higher difficulty stages featuring reductions in the bosses’ elemental weaknesses. The content will be available in Hunter Mode this month, meaning players can control a team of three hunters to take down bosses. The first boss players can try to defeat will be the Flames of Calamity Kamish.
- Hunter Co-op Training: Allows players to enhance their stats through element and class-specific training.
What is Solo Leveling: ARISE?

Solo Leveling ARISE brings the popular webtoon (written by Chu Gong) and even more popular award-winning anime from A-1 Pictures to life as an action-packed game. Step into Jinwoo’s shoes and relive his iconic journey from the webtoon.
In the game, you level up, engage in dynamic battles, and craft your unique combat style by mixing and matching skills and weapons. You can even team up with other Hunters from the webtoon and, of course, summon your very own “Army of Shadows” with the legendary command: “Arise.”
