During G-Star 2025, Netmarble released the first playable demo of its in-development console and PC title, EVILBANE, for attendees to play exclusively at the convention. Visitors to the Netmarble booth can experience the game firsthand, choosing from four distinct playable characters to take on the mission in either single-player mode or watch creators co-op in a team of four at the event zone.

“EVILBANE’s first hands-on showcase at G-STAR 2025 marks an important milestone for us,” said Jung Ho Lee, Game Publishing Director at Netmarble, in a comment released to press. “We’re using this opportunity to engage directly with players on-site, gather their real-time feedback, and reflect those insights into development as we move toward the next testing phase.”

What is EVILBANE?

Set in a vast, dark fantasy world, EVILBANE follows the story of squads battling demonic forces, warlords, and opportunistic factions as they fight for humanity’s survival and rebuild. A co-op first game, players can form teams of up to four and infiltrate hostile territories, completing missions that unlock greater challenges.

Like many of Netmarble’s newer titles, the studio has highlighted that the game is built with Unreal Engine 5. Additionally, EVILBANE is a third-person co-op action RPG set in a dark fantasy universe. The game promises to deliver cinematic visuals and strategic, fast-paced combat, allowing players to seamlessly switch between melee and ranged weapons in real-time.

The Steam page for the title also stresses some core thematic elements:

In a world shattered by the rise of the Archdemon, the journey of those who have sworn vengeance begins! As humans, demons, and traitors clash endlessly in a dark fantasy world, warriors take up their swords to save a kingdom in chaos.

What is the release date for EVILBANE?

Netmarble has announced that, following G-STAR, they will commence global testing. The studio has not yet offered a release date or window for the title, but has released that the game will come to console and PC worldwide.
