It’s the best season, Fall. From cozy blankets to pumpkin-spiced…everything, it’s one of the best and creative times of year, especially when it comes to video game events, even outside of Halloween. And for Palia, it’s autumn in Kilima Village, and the Home for the Harvest Update is bringing new seasonal content.

This autumn-themed update brings new content, the Great Palian Potluck community event, decorative crops, fairytale decor, interactive furniture, event quests, and updates to the Premium Store.

Home For The Harvest Updates

Singularity 6, the game’s developer, shared a dev blog diving deep into the changes and new elements coming in the Home For The Harvest Update. For the full patch notes and changes, you can read them here. However, for the highlights, please continue reading below.

New Decorative Crops and Fairytale Decor

Decorative crops

This addition allows players to add more plants to their housing plots without using gardening plot spaces and can be purchased with medals at the gardening store. This is a big win for customizing your plot and making your garden even more perfect to their aesthetic.

This helps turn your house into a homestead with these Planterlife varieties: Cotton, Tomato, Blueberry, Apple, Peppers, Napa Cabbage, and Beans. Additionally, you can use Planterlife Dirt Pile, which lets you slot your favorite crop right into it.

These decorative crops can also be planted directly in the ground or displayed in the planters and pots introduced in Patch 0.194. Singularity 6 has also made sure that you can use all of the vessels you’ve unlocked along the way, since this new crop decor can also be placed in a flower pot, which can also be added to a dirt pile, allowing for even more creative combinations.

Fairytale Decor

Players can also add a little magic to their homes with whimsical fairytale-inspired wallpapers and the Fantasy Cottage Pearlescent Petals to adorn their floors. And, you can find them all at the Bundle Board.

New Fairytale Wallpapers

  • Floral Fantasy Wallpaper
  • Lilac Stripes Wallpaper
  • Fantasy Cottage Floor
  • Pearlescent Petals Floor

Bulletin Board: The Bounty Donation Drive Bundle

Chayne is hosting a special charity drive to celebrate the harvest season and gratitude. The Home for the Harvest Update allows Palians to lend a hand to those who need it most in Kilima by donating to each of the four categories on this month’s Bulletin Board: crops, shelf-safe foods, supplies (including fabric, leather, iron bars, etc), and furniture from the Homestead Collection.

As one of my favorite aspects of the Home for the Harvest Update, the Bounty Donation Drive Bundle encourages players to keep Palia a communal game and help those in need. In addition to just paying it forward, Tish will gift those who donate different fairytale Floors and Wallpapers.

Interactive Furniture Items

Singularity 6 is also adding more life to Kiima Village with interactive furniture. Instead of just running around from quest to quest, players can now sit on benches all around Kilima. While the sitting functionality is currently only available in Kilima, the patch notes indicate that the development team will add more interactive seating opportunities for other areas in the future.

Premium Store Cosmetics

A new outfit collection has been added to the premium store, inspired by the classic fairytale Rapunzel. Additionally, the Rapunzel Requiem Emote features the first-ever toggleable versions, with a lyrical version available when the full Rapunzel outfit is worn.

While the clothing items are self-explanatory, the most interesting of the new Premium Store additions is the most exciting as it allows Palians to retell the story of Rapunzel via song.

The Great Palian Potluck Community Event

Palia's Home For The Harvest Update promo image from Singularity 6

The goal of The Great Palian Potluck is to have players come together to cook a community-wide goal of 20 million dishes. The week-long community event is meant to be a celebration of food, friendship, and the end of the harvest season.

This event uses the Palia co-op staple, Cooking Parties, to help reach community milestones to unlock seasonal rewards, or do it alone, too. If the community can collectively cook 20 million dishes, everyone who participates will receive a set of rewards that celebrate the warmth and bounty of the end-of-harvest season.
