Jesus wept. Hellraiser is one of horror’s pillar franchises. Infernal cultists, deviants, inhuman abominations, and Pinhead himself have come to mark the body-horror favorite, and now, it’s happening in video games. Published by Saber Interactive and developed by Boss Team Games, Clive Barker’s Hellraiser Revival is coming soon, and now, we’ve got our first look at new gameplay in a new gameplay reveal trailer (and there’s even a Redband one).

Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival is a single-player, survival horror action game that throws players into a battle of wills against the legendary Pinhead and the malevolent Cenobites. Set to release in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival also brings Doug Bradley back to his iconic role as the voice of Pinhead.

What is Clive Barker’s Hellraiser Revival?

Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival isn’t focused on adapting something that fans have already seen. Instead, it’s a story centered on a new protagonist, Aidan, who must unlock the dark powers of the mysterious Genesis Configuration puzzle box to save his girlfriend from the terrifying horrors of Hell. As always, Hellraiser and a bit of romance go a long way.

The official synopsis also includes the following: “Discover a realm of terrors as you take on dark cultist worshippers, sex-crazed deviants, and infernal monstrosities, harnessing unique abilities and an arsenal of jaw-dropping weapons that can be instruments of both misery and delight. You’ll have many ways to defend yourself – but can you save yourself from an eternity of torment?”

Yeah, I’m thinking Hellraiser is back.

Hellraiser Video Game’s Key Features

Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games also shared a list of key game features in their press release. You can read those as shared below to learn what to expect from the new Hellraiser video game:

  • A Terrifying New Story in the Hellraiser Universe: Discover a chilling new story in the iconic horror franchise as you unwittingly kickstart Pinhead’s (voiced by Doug Bradley) ritual to unleash the ultimate torment on the world.
  • Unleash the Power of the Box: Harness the unique abilities of the Genesis Configuration in combination with an arsenal of earthly weapons to inflict bone-breaking, flesh-searing pain (or pleasure?) upon your enemies.
  • Battle for Survival Against Hell’s Armies: Take on Hell’s wretches, deviants, cultists, and its most infernal priests in an unholy war for your immortal soul.
