Nexon has rolled out a giant new update for their looter-shooter, The First Descendant. The latest update introduces an Ultimate version of Descendant Luna, a new player-centric social space, and powerful new Trigger Modules. It also features new in-game events, a new Fellow, and a complete rework of Descendant Lepic.

Ultimate Luna joins the game, but it’s not just her; there are also events for players to jump into. In addition to the events below, the update introduces a range of new skins for players to personalize their characters. These include the Ultimate Luna full-body skin and back attachment, as well as the Serena premium skin, “Ancient Angel.”
- Sing Along with Luna Event: This event assists players in leveling up Ultimate Luna. By completing various missions such as acquiring Ultimate Luna and assigning module socket types, players can earn valuable rewards, including the Photon Imprinter, Crystallization Catalyst, and the “(Back Attachment) Full Moon Guitarist.”
- Collectible Merchants COLLEC-T and EDI-T have arrived! Event: This event features two new collectible merchants in Albion who sell collectibles for display in the Lounge. By completing missions, such as 400% Infiltration Operations, Wall Crasher interceptions, players can earn collectible coins, which can be used to purchase these unique collectibles.
- Luna’s Music Journal Event: This daily check-in event allows players to get rewards, like Crystallization Catalyst, Precise Ion Accelerator, and the exclusive (Chest Attachment) ‘Luna’ MC Nametag.
The First Descendant Reworks Lepic
Additionally, the update completely reworks the Descendant Lepic. Developers enhanced his mobility, allowing him to regroup with allies faster and provide long-range support during distant engagements. Grenade synergy has been added, making his burn effects more potent as grenades now deal extra damage to burning enemies.
His second skill, ‘Overclock,’ now provides a rapid burst of fire rate, enabling high DPS output. The update also brings balance adjustments for Blair, Freyna, and Bunny.
New Social Hub and Player Customization
Players can now unwind in the brand-new ‘Lounge,’ a dedicated social space in Albion. This area serves as a personal exhibition hall where players can showcase their in-game collectibles.
- Display Descendants, Fellows, and Hoverbikes to create a personalized gallery.
- Place Descendants in the Lounge to interact with them, watching as they perform actions like sitting on a sofa or playing an instrument.
- Players can design their own personal space in preparation for a future update that will allow them to visit other players’ Lounges.
Trigger Modules and New Fellow
The new update adds powerful Trigger Modules for players to discover and experiment with in the Axion Plains.
- ‘Storm Bullet’ creates a fixed orb-shaped area at the point where a piercing projectile skill lands, inflicting continuous damage on enemies caught within it.
- ‘Tactical Acceleration’ temporarily boosts the shooting and movement abilities of the player and nearby party members after using a supply skill.
- ‘Blazing Zone’ generates a fixed orb-shaped area when players use a towing skill, dealing continuous damage at the skill activation point.
- The new Fellow “Snowy Sled Dog” joins the roster, bringing a unique ability that restores Descendants’ MP, offering strong support for skill-focused damage dealers.
Events and Quality of Life Improvements
The update introduces a range of new in-game events and quality-of-life enhancements. Additionally, NEXON has also made it easier to play with others and track your progress. Players can now view the Descendant builds of others on the leaderboards, allowing for easier strategizing and theorycrafting. But best of all, the party search functionality has been enhanced, simplifying the process of forming parties based on recommendations.
