Card Type: Legendary Creature – Human Rogue Villain

Card Text: Flying

1 Blue, Exile this card from your graveyard: Put a +1/+1 counter on target creature. It gains flying until end of turn. Activate only as sorcery.

First appearance: Captain America #606.

Janice Lincoln is the daughter of notorious gangster and villain Tombstone. She grew up craving some of the action that her father enjoyed, so was given a new Beetle suit by Baron Zemo. The suit has been passed down through the years, famously started by Abe Jenkins. Janice has a vicious determination and drive that often gets her in over her head, such as making a play for territory that sets the whole of New York City on fire.

Chameleon, Master of Disguise (3 Colorless, 1 Blue)

Chameleon Magic the Gathering Blue Creature Set

Card Type: Legendary Creature – Human Shapeshifter Villain.

Card Text: You may have Chameleone enter as a copy of a creature you control, except his name is Chameleon, Master of Disguise.

Mayhem 2 Blue (You may cast this card from your graveyard for 2 Blue if you discarded it this turn. Timing rules still apply.)

First appearance: Amazing Spider-Man #1 (1962).

The first supervillain Spider-Man ever faced. Chameleon is a sneaky, disloyal figure. Dmitri Nikolaevich Smerdyakov is an expert in espionage and disguises. Originally, he used technology and disguises to mimic the faces and voices of absolutely everyone, bamboozling Spider-Man through impersonating friends and anyone Chameleon can think of. He’s a founding member of the Sinister Six and the half-brother of Kraven the Hunter.

Doc Ock, Sinister Scientist (4 Colorless, 1 Blue)

Doc Oc Magic the Gathering Blue Creature Set

Card Type: Legendary Creature – Human Scientist Villain

Card Text: As long as there are eight or more cards in your graveyard, Doc Ock has base power and toughness 8/8.

As long as you control another Villain, Doc Ock has hexproof. (He can’t be the target of spells or abilities your opponents control.)

First appearance: Amazing Spider-Man #3 (1963).

Otto Octavius is one of Spider-Man’s most dangerous foes. He may have been physically weaker, but his remarkable intelligence and multiple mechanical arms made him vicious and capable. He’s often the leader of the Sinister Six, making plans and failsafes that ensurred he could always escape justice. This desperation for survival turned him into the Superior Spider-Man, where he placed his mind into Spider-Man’s body. From there, his allegiance has fluctuated between villainy and his own form of heroism.

Hydro-Man, Fluid Felon (2 Blue)

Hydro-Man Magic the Gathering Blue Creature Set

Card Type: Legendary Creature – Elemental Villain

At the beginning of your end step, untap Hydro-Man until your next turn, he becomes a land and gains “Tap: add 1 Blue.” (He’s not a creature during that time.)

First appearance: Amazing Spider-Man #212 (1980).

Morris Bench was working on a cargo ship when he was knocked overboard during an experiment. He then found that his body could turn into water, and he was able to control water. He is a thug with incredible power. With more intelligence, Bench could be a major threat, but his lack of imagination had prevented him from becoming one of Spidey’s most devastating enemies. Once combined with Sandman into a giant mud creature.

When Doctor Octopus was killed in the Clone Saga, a student of his took over as Doctor Octopus. Carolyn Trainer has a set of tentacles of her own and even a force field. She faded into insecurity when Otto returned, but still served as a mercenary. She is often hired as part of a greater plot, as a group alongside other villains, before joining a syndicate run by Beetle.

Madame Web, Clairvoyant (4 Colorless, 2 Blue)

Madame Web Magic the Gathering Blue Creature Set

First appearance: Amazing Spider-Man #205 (1980).

Cassandra Webb is blind and disabled, but has the ability to see into the future. She would appear before Spider-Man, various Spider-Women, and other heroes, giving them ominous warnings about what is yet to come. Her age and frailty often became an issue for her, as she was vulnerable in the present. When she dropped, Madame Web passed her abilities and her blindness onto Julia Carpenter.

Mysterio, Master Of Illusion (3 Colorless, 1 Blue)

Mysterio Magic the Gathering Blue Creature Set

Card Type: Legendary Creature – Human Villain

Card Text: When Mysterio enters, create a 3/3 blue Illusion Villain creatue token for each nontoken villain you control. Exile those tokens when Mysterio leaves the battlefield.

First appearance: Amazing Spider-Man #2 (1963).

Known for the fishbowl on his head, Quentin Beck has a similar level of trickery to Chameleon. But Mysterio has much more flair. He uses gadgets and gas to create smoke, illusions, and robotics to try and drive his enemies insane. He loves a show, a true magician with an ego the size of a circus tent. Mysterio was another major member of the Sinister Six, using chemicals and other means to make Spider-Man hallucinate. It’s not just the web-slinger that was targeted either, as Daredevil tussled with Mysterio too, in the famous Guardian Devil arc.

Norman Osborn (1 Colorless, 1 Blue)

Norman Osborn Magic the Gathering Blue Creature Set

Card Type: Legendary Creature -Human Scientist Villain

Card Text: Norman Osborn can’t be blocked.

Whenever Norman Osborn deals combat damage to a player, he connives. (Draw a card, then discard a card. If you discarded a nonland card, put a +1/+1 counter on this creature.)

1 Colorless, 1 Blue, 1 Black, 1 Red: Transform Norman Osborn. Activate only as a sorcery.

First appearance: Amazing Spider-Man #14 (1964).

Spider-Man’s nemesis, plain and simple. A wealthy businessman, Osborn was also the father of Harry, Peter Parker’s best friend. The Goblin Serum in his veins may have given him strength, but it also drove him mad. Osborn is truly evil, killing Gwen Stacy and doing more damage to Spider-Man’s life than anyone else in his rogues’ gallery. But even when not wearing the Goblin mask, he can cause carnage throughout the Marvel Universe. He ultimately took over S.H.I.E.L.D., effectively becoming in charge of the entire superhero system and even invading Asgard.

Spider-byte was a digital vigilante within that space before being recruited into the Spider-Society. Slayer Bots Magic the Gathering Blue Creature Set

Card Text: When this creature enters, tap target creature an opponent controls and put a stun counter on it. (If a permanent with a stun counter would become untapped, remove one from it instead.)

First appearance: Superior Spider-Man #28 (2014).

Created by the nefarious tech company Alchemax at the behest of J. Jonah Jameson. Due to a distrust of Spider-Man, the Spider-Slayers were designed to counter the possibility of Spider-Man turning evil and needing to be neutralized. But as they were seen fighting against heroes, they were sold to more adversarial figures, often being used for evil means.

Spider-Man 2099, Miguel O’Hara (4 Colorless, 1 Blue)

Spider-Man 2099 Magic the Gathering Blue Creature Set

Card Type: Legendary Creature – Spider Human Hero

Card Text: When Spider-Man 2099 enters, return up to one target creature to its owner’s hand.

First appearance: Spider-Man 2099 #1 (1992).

Arguably, the first of the Spider-Man alternate reality variants. Miguel O’Hara fights crime in the year 2099, patrolling the streets of Nueva York. He underwent a procedure that laced his genes with those of a spider. This gives him slightly different powers than Peter, including organic webbing, talons, fangs, and a paralyzing venom. In recent years, Miguel has found himself in the main universe, and even has alternate universe versions of himsel,f too, as all the Spider-Verse events kick off.

Lyla, Holographic Assistant (3 Colorless, 1 Blue)

Lyla Magic the Gathering Blue Creature Set

Card Type: Legendary Artifact Creature – Illusion Advisor

Card Text: Whenever you draw a card, put a +1/+1 counter on target creature.

First appearance: Spider-Man 2099 #1 (1992).

Some cards are not included in this summary because they are also included in other color categories.
