Card Type: Creature – Human Citizen

  • Repair –  Return target card with mana value 4 or greater from your graveyard to your hand.
  • Impound – Exile Target artifact of enchantment.

First appearance: Marvel Age Annual #4 (1988).

Ever wondered who cleans up after a superhero fight? Damage Control does. Through multiple owners and leaders, Damage Control has been there to tidy up after monster battles, superhero showdowns, and cataclysmic calamities. This has even extended to handing Doctor Doom a bill for damages.

Ezekiel Sims, Spider Totem (4 Colorless, 1 Green)

Spider-Man Magic the Gathering Set Ezekiel Sims

Card Type: Legendary Creature –  Spider Human Advisor

Card Text: Reach

At the beginning of combat on your turn, the target Spider you control gets +2/+2 until the end of the turn.

First appearance: Amazing Spider-Man #30 (2001).

Spider-Man was once surprised to find an older man stuck to a wall next to him. This was Ezekiel Sims, the man who first introduced the ideas of totems. He spent years and millions hiding and preparing for the arrival of Morlun, who hunts the totems, even protecting one by locking them away from the world. But when Morlun started hunting Spider-Man, nearly killing him, Ezekiel couldn’t hide anymore. He joined the fight, dying in the process.

Lizard, Connors’ Curse (2 Colorless, 2 Green)

Spider-Man Green Creature Set

Card Type: Legendary Creature – Lizard Villain

Card Text: Trample

Lizard Formula – When Lizard, Connors’ Curse enters, up to one other target creature loses all abilities and becomes a green Lizard creature with base power and toughness 4/4.

First appearance: Amazing Spider-Man #6 (1963).

Skilled surgeon Curtis Connors lost his arm in an explosion and spent his life creating a serum that would regenerate it. But the serum that contained DNA from reptiles not only gave him his arm back, but turned him into a giant lizard. He lost control of his facilities, becoming feral and ferocious, even towards his family. Spider-Man often has to use cryogenics to slow Lizard down. Every time Connors seems to be cured, the Lizard always manages to resurface.

Professional Wrestler (3 Colorless, 1 Green)

Spider-Man Green Creature Set

Card Type: Creature – Human Warrior Performer

Card Text: When this creature enters, create a Treasure token. (It’s an artifact with “Tap, sacrifice this token: Add one mana of any color.)

This creature can’t be blocked by more than one creature.

First appearance: Amazing Fantasy #15 (1962).

Joseph ‘Crusher’ Hogan is an exhibition match wrestler. If you let three minutes in the ring with him, you won a hundred bucks. He was challenged by Peter Parker, who had just developed his powers, and was promptly humiliated. Afterwards, he tells stories about being friends with the now world-famous Spider-Man.

Sandman, Shifting Scoundrel (1 Colorless, 2 Green)

Spider-Man Green Creature Set

Card Type: Legendary Creature – Sand Elemental Villain)

Card Text: Sandman’s power and toughness are each equal to the number of lands you control.

Sandman can’t be blocked by creatures with power 2 or less.

(3 Colorless, 2 Green): Return this card and target land card from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped.)

First appearance: Amazing Spider-Man #4 (1963).

Flint Marko was caught in a radiation testing centre, and his body was turned into living sand. He could turn his hands into hammers and faces, or completely dissipate, making his body impossible to land a blow on. He battled Spider-Man for years, either alone or with the Sinister Six. But in his mind, he was always trying to make money for Keemia, his estranged daughter. Sandman reformed for a while, fighting against the Sinister Six, and was a member of both the Wild Pack and even the Avengers, but it wasn’t long before he got dressed back into villainy once again.

Spider-Ham, Peter Porker (1 Colorless, 1 Green)

Spider-Man Magic the Gathering Set Spider-Ham

Card Type: Legendary Creature – Spider Boar Hero

Card Text: When Spider-Ham enters, create a Food token (It’s an artifact with “(2 Colorless), (Tap), Sacrifice this token: You gain 3 life.”)

Animal May-Ham – Other Spiders, Boars, Bats, Bears, Birds, Cats, Dogs, Frogs, Jackals, Lizards, Mice, Otters, Rabbits, Raccoons, Rats, Squirrels, Turtles, and Wolves you control get +1/+1.

First appearance: Marvel Tails Starring Peter Porker the Spectacular Spider-Ham #1 (1983).

The most bizarre origin story of all time. In a world filled with anthropomorphic animals, Peter Porker started out as a spider, who was bitten by a pig woman who was irradiated by an atomic powered hairdryer. I’m not kidding. He became a pig with spider powers, fighting injustice on an Earth with many animal based heroes and villains. Since Spider-Verse, he has had many encounters and adventures across the Multiverse.

Spider-Man, Miles Morales (4 Colorless, 2 Green)

Spider-Man Magic the Gathering Miles Morales

Card Type: Legendary Creature – Spider Human Hero

Card Text: Vigilance, trample (Attacking doesn’t cause this creature to tap. He can deal excess combat damage to the player he’s attacking.)

Whenever Spider-Man enters or attacks, put a +1/+1 counter on each other creature you control. Those creatures gain trample until end of turn.

First appearance: Ultimate Fallout #4 (2011).

The Spider-Man of the Ultimate Universe. In the wake of Peter Parker’s death, Miles was also bitten by an enhanced spider and became Spider-Man in his own right. He had countless adventures, even teaming up Peter Parker of Earth-616, and being dragged into Spider-Verse. He has since been transported into the main Earth, becoming a member of the Champions. He’s also become incredibly popular in other media, able to carry two movies of his own and a game. He has multiple cards.

Spider-Rex, Daring Dino (4 Colorless, 2 Green)

Spider-Man Green Creature Set

Card Type: Legendary Creature – Spider Dinosaur Hero

Card Text: Reach, trample

Ward (2 Colorless) (Whenever this creature becomes the target of a spell or ability an opponent controls, counter it unless that player pays 2 Colorless.)

First appearance: Edge of Spider-Verse #2 (2022) .

Hit by a meteor containing alien spiders, Pter Ptarker is a t-rex who gained spider powers and a costume. He learned the power of responsibility, fighting prehistoric counterparts of classic characters.

Spiders-Man, Heroic Horde (1 Colorless, 1 Green)

Spider-Man Magic the Gathering Green Creature Set

Card Type: Legendary Creature – Spider Hero

Card Text: Web-slinging (4 Colorless, 2 Green) (You may cast this spell for 4 Colorless, 1 Green if you also return a tapped creature you control to its owner’s hand.)

First Appearance: Spider-Geddon #3 (2018)

A sickening, creepy version of the wall-crawler. Peter Parker fell into a colony of radioactive Spiders and was eaten, but the spiders became a hive-mind that absorbed his consciousness. The spiders formed a body, within a Spider-suit. They can move as one or independently, making them almost impossible to completely destroy. Spiders-Man fights crime, but has started to develop a taste for human flesh.

Prowler, Misguided Mentor (2 Colorless, 2 Green)

Spider-Man Green Creature Set

Card Typ: Legendary Creature – Human Rogue Villain

Card Text: Prowler can’t be blocked by creatures with power 2 or less

Whenever Powler deals combat damage to a player, put a +1/+1 counter on another target creature you control.

First appearance: Ultimate Comics Spider-Man #1 (2011).

Aaron Davis is the uncle of Miles Morales, but is also a career criminal and burglar. It is because of his actions that Miles got his powers in the first place. He was remorseless and cunning, even willing to fight and threaten his own nephew in order to get ahead. When Miles’ life was transported into the main universe, Davies came too, and had continued to cause trouble.

Twisted Spider Clone (3 Colorless, 1 Green)

Spider-Man Green Creature Set

Card Type: Creature – Spider Human

Card Text: When this creature enters, put a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control with a +1/+1 counter on it.

First appearance: Miles Morales: Spider-Man #26 (2021).

Shift is the sole survivor of a series of clones made from Miles Morales. He’s huge and able to change shape. He can grow multiple arms and is surprisingly fast for his enormous size. But he’s actually more gentle and heroic than his appearance may suggest. Miles has adopted Shift as a brother, and although there have been some teething problems, the mute monster is learning how to be kind.

There are some cards not included, but they are either non-specific, based on the same character or an art variant. For a full list of the cards, you can check out the official Magic website.

The Spider-Man deck is available from September 26th.
