Epictellers Entertainment and Paizo have officially announced Starfinder Afterlight, a new story-rich, turn-based RPG. The game, set in the Starfinder TTRPG (tabletop roleplaying game) universe, will be available on Steam Early Access in 2026. A Kickstarter campaign is coming soon, and players can register their interest now to support the crowdfunding effort.

“Starfinder’s universe is rich, vast, and beloved”, says Erik Mona, Publisher and Chief Creative Officer at Paizo. “Epictellers Entertainment’s vision aligns perfectly with the essence of our galaxy. We believe they’re the ideal team to bring this next chapter of the franchise to life.”

For those who aren’t familiar, the Starfinder Roleplaying Game gives players the chance to launch into an exciting universe of science fantasy adventure. In it, players create and customize their own futuristic hero to play through challenging adventures and action-packed battles against dangerous foes.

A TTRPG, the game will be familiar to those who have played D&D. Additionally, Starfinder even announced a collaboration with Digital Extreme’s Warframe during TennoCon 2025.

What is Starfinder Afterlight?

Players scour the stars and face enemies with both mystical powers and advanced technology. The galaxy has been obliterated, the captain is missing, and doomsday is at hand. You must assemble a crew of charmingly questionable companions to save the Pact Worlds. Each companion has their storyline, and you’ll lead them in a universe-spanning adventure unlike any other.

“We’re thrilled to unveil Starfinder: Afterlight in partnership with Paizo,” says Ricard Pillosu, CEO and co-founder of Epictellers. “This marks the beginning of a journey we want to take alongside Starfinder fans everywhere. We can’t wait to share more about the ragtag crew navigating the Pact Worlds, full of danger and adventure.”
