The eight-episode season will release one new episode weekly, concluding with the season finale on February 4, 2026.

In Fallout Season 1, audiences got the chance to meet Ella Purnell as Lucy, a Vault Dweller who if forced to surface after her world comes crumbling down around her; Aaron Moten as Maximus, a low ranking member of the Brotherhood of Steel, a militant Wasteland cult; and The Goul, played by television legend Walton Goggins, a man transformed by the Wasteland who gets by, by collecting bounties.

In our 10/10 review for Fallout, our critic said, “This all ultimately makes Fallout the finest live-action adaptation of video game source material. It’s strong, it’s goddamn hilarious, and it highlights exactly how to swing for the fences while still knowing where Homebase is. It may be a new series, but Fallout is an instant classic of the streaming age.”

Watch out for the interview with Todd Howard at SXSW.

What to expect from Fallout Season 2?

Fallout Season 2 is set to pick up where the explosive first season finale left off, following the characters on a journey through the treacherous Mojave Wasteland to the post-apocalyptic city of New Vegas. At gamescom 2025, series stars Ella Purnell and Aaron Moten joined Nolan and Robertson-Dworet to provide a sneak peek into the new season’s storyline and the challenges ahead for fan-favorite characters Lucy, Maximus, and The Ghoul.

The teaser footage surprised the crowd by revealing a new cast member, Justin Theroux, who will take on the role of Robert House. The teaser also gave viewers their first look at one of the Fallout universe’s most menacing creatures: the Deathclaw.

While fans are excited to enter New Vegas, a beloved location in the Fallout universe, the video game that the local is based on was one of the few Fallout titles not developed by Bethesda. With large changes made to the California Republic, we are just waiting to see what comes to fruition.
