Blumhouse Games Announces Eyes of Hellfire Release Date And Open Beta

Blumhouse Games has a lot on its roster that will be coming out at the end of this year and into next, or even farther down the line. With indie titles that push game genres out of boxes like Grave Seasons or invest in new mechanics for tried and true genres like Crisol, this has been the horror game to watch. With Eyes of Hellfire, Blunhouse Games is entering into the co-op space, and that’s just what they need to do.

Scares are often better when you share them with others, and Blumhouse Games and developer Gambrinous are opening the doors to the Hellfire Club to do just that. In the game’s trailer, a signature gothic style comes to life with illustrative grey-scale renderings and designs, only for a vibrant red to shatter it all and drive the genre home.

What is Eyes of Hellfire?

Developed by Gambrinous, an indie studio in Dublin, Ireland, Eyes of Hellfire is a gothic horror game inspired by Irish folklore. Up to five players must work together to explore, fight, and solve puzzles to free themselves from the iconic lodge. Players will not have to face the horrors alone, as the game’s Steam Friends Pass allows players who purchase a copy to invite a friend to join them for free.

Eyes of Hellfire Key Features

With an Open Beta running from August 8 to August 11, 2025, here’s what you can expect from the next Blunhouse Games title.

  • Violent entities lurk in the hallways, and a mysterious Host has his own agenda.
  • Each player has a unique curse they must break to escape.
  • Players must work with (or betray) their friends to achieve their goals.
  • Purchasing the game grants access to perks such as meta character progression, additional card unlocks, and customization options.

What is the release date?

The co-op-based gothic horror game, Eyes of Hellfire, is launching into Early Access via Steam on August 27, 2025, and the game will be available for $9.99, with a limited-time 10% launch discount.
