Were you in love with the most extensive DB fighter roster ever? Sparking Zero on Switch and Switch 2 is a chance to experience it with new control features. The latest installment in the iconic Budokai Tenkaichi series, Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO is bringing its explosive cinematic 3D combat to the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

Developed by Spike Chunsoft, the original creators of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi, this title was one of the most faithful recreations of the anime’s thrilling fights and legendary characters that we’ve seen in an anime fighter.

When we reviewed the game, our critic said:

“Dragon Ball Sparking Zero feels like a collective celebration for Akira Toriyama and the characters he created. I feel connected to others, reveling in the history of a franchise that is the cornerstone of shonen manga and anime and, for many of us, a gateway into international animation.

And what better way to do this than with a return to the arena fighter structure, anime fighters have been chasing? It may not be called Budokai Tenkaichi 4, but Dragon Ball Sparking Zero continues that legacy and brings all of us so very back.”

What is Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero?

The game elevates the classic gameplay of the Budokai Tenkaichi series with enhanced mechanics and immersion. Players can experience the destructive power and unique Ki abilities of each character, bringing the explosive energy of the anime to life in every arena. The game will feature both local and online multiplayer modes.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero on Switch and Switch 2 boasts the largest character roster in a Dragon Ball game to date, with over 180 fighters available in the base game. Each character comes equipped with unique abilities, transformations, and techniques, offering players a vast range of matchups and strategies to explore.

This massive selection includes characters from:

  • Dragon Ball Z
  • Dragon Ball Super
  • Dragon Ball GT
  • Select Dragon Ball movies
