Netflix has officially announced the title for Dan Levy‘s upcoming family crime comedy series as Big Mistakes, and revealed a number of new cast members. The show, which is the first series from Levy’s overall deal with Netflix and his production company Not a Real Production Company, has now started production in New Jersey. The series co-stars Taylor Ortega and Laurie Metcalf alongside Levy.
“I’m so excited to be bringing this truly chaotic family story to life with Netflix,” Levy said, in a comment to Netflix’s TUDUM. “I’m thrilled with the team we’re building both behind the scenes and in front of the camera. Taylor Ortega is going to become a household name, and it’s been my life’s mission to get to call Laurie Metcalf ‘mother.’ Looking forward to getting to share this with everyone.”
What is Big Mistakes about?
Big Mistakes follows two deeply inept siblings who are blackmailed into the world of organized crime. The series will consist of eight episodes and is Levy’s second original scripted series after his Emmy-winning sitcom Schitt’s Creek. Rachel Sennott, who co-created and executive produces the series with Levy, is also involved.
