The opening of DanDaDan Season 2 was already shared with the GKids release of the first three episodes packaged as a feature film. Our critic had this to say about the start of DanDaDan Season 2 in their Evil Eye review:

“DanDaDan: Evil Eye instantly reminds us just why this series is so beloved while demonstrating how much we’ve yet to explore. Ending on yet another cliffhanger, the film sets the stage for Season 2 with its vibrant and kinetic animation, the impassioned and colorful voice acting, and a story that thrums with anticipation of the twists and turns the series is about to hurtle us into. Bombastic in the direction without ever forgoing the intimacy and character work at its core, DanDaDan: Evil Eye relentlessly plunges us straight back into joyous madness.”

Still, there is more to come as well. To celebrate the upcoming release, brand-new jacket art for “Doukashiteru” has been unveiled, featuring a fresh illustration of DanDaDan’s dynamic duo, Momo Ayase and Okarun Takakura.

What is DanDaDan?

DanDaDan Evil Eye

The anime everyone thought should have won anime of the year, well, that and Frieren, in 2024, DanDaDan is the smash-hit manga by Yukinobu Tatsu, currently serialized on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ app (with new updates every Tuesday). Boasting over 10 million copies in circulation, the series throws high schooler Momo Ayase, from a family of spirit mediums, and her occult-obsessed classmate Okarun Takakura into a whirlwind of supernatural threats. It’s a thrilling mix of occult battles and youthful adventure that you won’t want to miss.

With DanDan Season 2 already released in Japan, it’s WurtS’ news just keeps English-speaking fans going.

Born in the 21st century, this musical prodigy handles everything himself – from lyrics, composition, and arrangement to the artwork and visuals. His unique sound is built around dance music, constantly evolving into a distinctive pop style that seamlessly weaves together genres like rock, hip-hop, and soul.
