French independent developer Sandfall Interactive and publisher Kepler Interactive have announced a unique partnership with British jewelry designer Hannah Martin. The collaboration has resulted in a series of conceptual digital jewelry pieces inspired by the characters of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, the recently released reactive turn-based RPG. The Expedition 33 jewelry collection serves as a launch and community celebration.

About Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, our team said, “Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is more than just a modernization of classic RPG styles. It’s an embrace of the past and charting a unique future. This game hits heights and refinement when it comes to even its technical characteristics that showcase what a small studio can do and what independent studios are capable of.”

Five conceptual digital jewelry pieces have been created, drawing inspiration from Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 characters Gustave, Lune, Sciel, Maelle, and Verso. Envisioned with 18-carat gold and jet-black obsidian, the designs reflect Martin’s interpretation of Expedition 33’s rich aesthetic, blending the game’s fantasy setting with contemporary art and high-fashion elegance. Sandfall Interactive’s developers intricately modeled these designs in Unreal Engine 5, creating stunning in-engine images seamlessly merging the digital and physical worlds.

Hannah Martin also hand-crafted 33 real-life sterling silver necklaces, inspired by the Verso character’s design. These exclusive pieces are not for sale and serve as a “thank you” to community members and artists who have supported the game.

“This collaboration has been amazing,” said Martin, reflecting on her collaboration with Sandfall Interactive and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 in a release to media. “It is totally new territory for me, and I have loved being able to explore and push the boundaries between reality and unreality. It has been a constant dance between real world and fantasy.”

Hannah Martin has built a reputation for making opulent, confident, and unrestrained heirloom-quality jewelry. Her eponymous brand, founded in 2006, is characterized by gender fluid, sculptural forms that imbue the precious nature of fine jewelry with a sultry, seditious undertone and a timelessly modern spirit. Her work is treasured and worn by celebrities including FKA Twigs, Madonna, Daisy Lowe, Rihanna, Joanna Trollope, Cara Delevingne, Erin O’Conner, Zaha Hadid, Morrissey, and Olivier Rousteing.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is out now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC.
