Raw Power Games, a new studio comprised of seasoned game industry veterans, has officially unveiled its highly anticipated debut title, Chronicles: Medieval, during Summer Game Fest 2025. This action RPG is set to enter early access on PC via Steam in 2026, and its world premiere announcement trailer at Summer Game Fest features narration by award-winning actor Tom Hardy.

In a release to the media, Andrzej Zawadzki, Senior Designer at Raw Power Games, shared, “Whether players dream of carving out a kingdom, leading armies into battle, or becoming the most prosperous trader, history is written by their hand in Chronicles: Medieval. As we unveil the game and move towards an early access release, we plan to listen and work with our community to make our first game a truly epic adventure.”

What is Chronicles: Medieval?

Chronicles Medieval PROMOTIONAL ART

Chronicles: Medieval drops players into a sprawling, dynamic sandbox experience set in the brutal yet beautiful European world of the 14th and 15th centuries. The debut game focuses on blending action and RPG depth on a strategic scale.

The game allows players to forge their destiny in a living, breathing realm where every decision has historical echoes and every sword swing can alter their fate. Players will engage in intense combat, vie for land, glory, and legacy, and lead massive armies into battle. The game is powered by Unreal Engine 5 and Raw Power Games’ proprietary Asgard technology.

Chronicles: Medieval strategically blends action and RPG depth, offering an ever-evolving narrative with emergent storytelling and a player-led legacy at the forefront.

Key Features for Early Chronicles: Medieval

  • Enter a vibrant medieval Europe: a sprawling sandbox of unrest, invasions, and alliances. Create a custom character and experience a path filled with conflict and opportunity. Chronicles: Medieval will evolve, shaping itself alongside community feedback into a living medieval playground, where no two stories are identical.
  • Intense Combat and Large-Scale Battles: Master medieval warfare with skill and strategy. Recruit, train, and lead troops into epic battles with full customization and control. Command historical units like the sharp-eyed English Longbowmen, the devastating French cavalry, and the feared Imperial Polearm infantry. Players can command large-scale battles and fight directly on the front lines in third person.
  • Authentic Medieval Combat: Combat delivers an engaging and authentic medieval experience with stunning animations, fluid weapon mechanics, and a focus on realism. Raw Power Games has partnered with Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) legend Björn Rüther to capture the precision and weight of authentic historical martial arts, ensuring every swing and clash of steel feels impactful and accurate to the era.
  • Write Your Story, Forge Your Destiny: Your path to victory begins here. Shape your legacy in a medieval sandbox where every decision matters. Choose power, adventure, or fortune, navigating diplomacy and conflict to create a story uniquely yours.

Chronicles: Medieval is set to release in 2026.
