Veteran Korean MMORPG publisher NC America is ramping up to bring players the newest update for the Blade & Soul NEO franchise with Moonwater Plains Pt 3. The update will be released for free via NC America’s PURPLE launcher on May 27, 2025.

In Moonwater Plains Pt 3, players will encounter two new Legendary Dungeons: The Twisted Labyrinth and the Highland Exile. Both of these Legendary dungeons will transport players through a rift to The Dark Realm, a world corrupted with dark energy where evil spirits and challenging bosses roam unleashed.

Blade & Soul NEO is available now on PURPLE, free of charge. This title is NC America’s reimagining of the original MMORPG. It features enhanced graphics, a fully intact storyline, Infinite Windwalk, intense PvP combat, new combat features, and a powerful character creation tool. Since its launch on February 25, 2025, NC America has expanded the game for players with two free content updates to the MMORPG, including Moonwater Plains 1 and 2, with more updates planned through summer 2025.

What’s In Twisted Labyrinth from Moonwater Plains Pt 3?

The Twisted Labyrinth dungeon consists of three floors containing multiple chambers connected by passageways. There, players must defeat various automatons and bosses to open the door to the next passage/chamber using some platform jumping, known as “platform windwalking” in-game, as they make their way through from the first underground floor down to the third.

In Twisted Labyrinth, players will encounter quest-giver Old Man Cho. Additionally, players will also find Minou, an initial boss that resembles a mechanical version of the Greek Minotaur; Raijin and Fujin, twin bosses named after Japanese deities of Thunder and Wind; and finally, when Raijin and Fujin are defeated, they merge into the final boss, the Tempest Lord—offering players new challenges.

What is Highland Exile from Moonwater Plains Pt 3?

Highland Exile was once a place where felons from Highland Central were sent to be executed. Now, a rift to the Dark Realm has opened in the Exile, and demonic spirits have come through, perhaps drawn by the bitterness of the countless souls who were killed on the grounds.

Needing a physical form, these demonic spirits merged with trees in the area to become horrific, lumbering monsters of wood and darkness. These demonic creatures must be cut down before they mutate every living thing in the area, allowing the dark energy from the rift to spread across the rest of the Moonwater Plains and beyond.

A completely new dungeon that’s unique to Blade & Soul NEO, Highland Exile stars quest-giver Old Man Cho and features bosses that resemble corrupted trees. The initial boss is the Soul Thresher, and the final boss is the Colossal Hexwood. Both bosses feed on the restless souls of the dead in the area (and any living souls that are brave enough to wander into the area).

Blade & Soul NEO is available now, for free, on NC America’s PURPLE platform with Moonwater Plains Pt 3 releasing on May 27, 2025.
