iam8bit is proud to continue its partnership with Moon Studios, the creators of the esteemed Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps, to produce special vinyl re-releases of the Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps in celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the initial Ori and the Blind Forest release. Fans can get their hands on both vinyls today for $42.99 each.

Moon Studios and the history of Ori and the Blind Forest

Moon Studios is an independent video game development studio founded in 2010 by Thomas Mahler and Gennadiy Korol. Moon Studios partnered with Microsoft to publish its first titles.  In 2015, Moon Studios released Ori and the Blind Forest, which quickly became a critical darling and a huge commercial success. In 2016, they released the Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition and ultimately followed up with their sequel, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, in 2020.

The sequel once again became a critical and commercial breakthrough title. The studio has won numerous awards for its work on the Ori series, including Best Art Direction at the 2015 Game Awards, a BAFTA, and many others. Moon Studios mainly focuses on highly refined gameplay mechanics within its products and prides itself on an excessive ‘iterative polish’ process.

Now, with the 10th anniversary of Ori and the Blind Forest‘s original release, it’s no wonder Moon Studios has partnered with iambit to give something special to the fans that made all of this possible.

More about the vinyl soundtracks

As beloved fan favorites upon initial release, Ori fans now have another chance at owning the Ori and the Blind Forest 2xLP Vinyl Soundtrack and the Ori and the Will of the Wisps 2xLP Vinyl Soundtrack. The Ori and the Will of the Wisps 2xLP Vinyl Soundtrack is a stunning 2xLP on 180-gram Black Audiophile Vinyl, with a foil embellished wide spine jacket.

With music by Gareth Coker and breathtaking art by Erin Vest, this vinyl includes a full digital download and an extended soundtrack (60 tracks!). For fans of the first release of Ori, the Ori and the Blind Forest 2xLP Vinyl Soundtrack features beautiful album art by the incomparable Nicole Gustafsson on a 2xLP 180-gram Black Audiophile Vinyl encased in a foil embellished wide spine jacket.

Composer Gareth Coker’s striking soundtrack is immortalized on wax and includes a full digital download, plus a 29-track definitive edition including previously unreleased tracks. These special reissues are not to be missed, as fans can celebrate the aluminum anniversary in style.

Also, as a treat for fans looking to score Ori and the Will of the Wisps digitally on Switch, there will be a 67% discount from now until Tuesday, March 18, 2025.
