Arc System Works Co., Ltd. is delighted to announce the global release date of the long-awaited HUNTER x HUNTER NEN x IMPACT, due to launch on July 17, 2025! Players all around the world will be able to experience the series’ debut in the fighting game genre.
HUNTER x HUNTER NEN x IMPACT is a 3-on-3 fighting game based on the iconic anime and manga series HUNTER x HUNTER, written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi. In this game, players create a team of three characters and battle against the opposing team with a tag system: calling out their allies for an assisting attack, or for swapping characters on the fly!

At launch, the game will feature 16 characters, taken from various arcs of the 2011 anime adaptation of the series, allowing players to discover their unique styles and powerful abilities.
The game will be released in physical and digital versions for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Steam will receive the digital version. Digital preorders for PlayStation 5 and Steam begin today.
Bonuses if you pre-order HUNTER x HUNTER NEN x IMPACT
Players can already pre-order the game’s digital version here on Steam and here on PS5, which will give them the following items as a bonus: Players who pre-order the Deluxe Edition will earn 48-hour Early Access before release and a special colour variation for Killua (PS5) and Hisoka (PC).
Players who preorder the Nintendo Switch version will receive a special colour for Gon. As a heads-up, Nintendo Switch pre-orders will be available at a later date, so keep your eyes out. More information will be revealed soon.
HUNTER x HUNTER NEN x IMPACT will also feature a physical edition for PS5 and Nintendo Switch. Pre-orders for these editions will start soon with two versions: “Standard Edition” and “Limited Edition.” Again, more information will be available in the future.
What to expect in HUNTERxHUNTER NENxIMPACT?
HUNTER x HUNTER NEN x IMPACT will come with multiple modes for all types of players to experience the game at their own pace. Here are a few examples of the modes to play:
- Offline Mode – Offline modes feature Free Battle, allowing players to battle friends and family via local couch play or against the CPU!
- Training Mode – The Training mode allows players to practice with their characters in any situation; also comes with various settings and a “Record” function to help capture any situation!
- Replay Mode – HUNTER x HUNTER NEN x IMPACT also has a “Replay” section, allowing players to rewatch their favorite matches!
- Story Mode – The Story mode gives the opportunity to relive famous scenes from HUNTER x HUNTER and play against the CPU based on set situations! Some stages also act as tutorials to help players understand how to play on top of enjoying the 2011 anime’s iconic moments!
- Single Mode – The Single mode provides a variety of challenges, including the “Sky Arena” featuring a series of matches against the CPU to become the “Floor Master”! Each character also comes with a “Combo Trial”, which will challenge players to succeed several combos!
The Story and Single modes also serve to collect “Titles,” “Profile Icons,” and Greed Island Cards – G.I. Cards – to fill your Collection and help you personalize your profile online.
Here’s what you can expect when you go online to play HUNTER x HUNTER NEN x IMPACT:
- With a quality rollback netcode to offer a seamless experience, players can challenge each other across the world in Player Matches for casual fun!
- Players can also try to become “Triple Hunter” in Ranked Matches, accumulating Rank Points and score as high as possible!
Whether going online or offline, players can challenge each other to gain G.I. Cards!
Additional characters coming to the DLC
Nephelpito, from the Chimera Ants arc, will come as an additional DLC Character. Players will be able to obtain Pito by either purchasing the DLC separately or by obtaining the Deluxe version of the game.
Neferpitou is also the first character of Season Pass 1, which will be released in Winter 2025. Further news about this character and the next three will be revealed at a later date.
