Battlestate Games, the developer of Escape from Tarkov and Escape from Tarkov: Arena, has announced the creation of a new access region and the introduction of special regional pricing. These changes will take effect on February 26.

The new region, LATAM, includes countries where Spanish and Portuguese are the predominant languages. The countries in this region are: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Venezuela, Haiti, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Martinique, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, El Salvador, Saint Barthélemy, Saint Martin, Uruguay, French Guiana, Chile, and Ecuador.

The addition of this new region comes with enhancements to the current server infrastructure and an increase in server capacity. This, combined with the introduction of special regional pricing, makes the game more accessible for new players while improving the experience for veterans.

New Regional Pricing and Discounts

The introduction of special regional pricing is based on audience interest and takes into account regional pricing standards. The cost of all editions of the game, including additional expansions and edition upgrades, has been adjusted downward, with the maximum price reduction reaching 67%.

For example, the Standard Edition and the most premium, The Unheard Edition, will now be available to players in the LATAM region for $20 and $125, respectively, compared to their previous prices of $50 and $250.

The official websites of Escape from Tarkov and Escape from Tarkov: Arena provide more details on these upcoming changes.

Time to Celebrate with a Twitch Drops Event

To celebrate the launch of the new region and the announcement of special regional pricing, Battlestate Games, in collaboration with Twitch, is launching a Drops Event for Escape from Tarkov and EFT: Arena. Viewers worldwide will be able to watch LATAM-region Tarkov streamers and earn valuable rewards.

  • Escape from Tarkov Drops Event: February 26 – March 1
  • EFT: Arena Drops Event: March 1 – March 3
  • Both events will run from 10:00 (UTC -3)

Nikita Buyanov, Head of Battlestate Games, Shares Insight.

With the expansion into the Latin America territories, Nikita Buyanov, Head of Battlestate Games, had much to share about the new development:

“The introduction of special regional pricing and the creation of a separate LATAM region is another step toward making Escape from Tarkov more accessible to players worldwide. We will likely continue developing similar initiatives in the future.

Players from this region are known for their passion for sports and adrenaline-fueled experiences. Escape from Tarkov is the ultimate test of skill and excitement—it’s the game that pioneered the extraction shooter genre. That’s why I’m confident that new LATAM players will not only embrace the original EFT but also actively participate in its esports direction—EFT: Arena, which already has competitions in the works.

I’d also like to highlight and thank those who have been with us from the very beginning—streamers, bloggers, esports players, content creators, and regular players. You were the pioneers who gave Tarkov its soul and helped shape it into what it is today. Now, it will be even easier for more players to experience it!”

What is Escape from Tarkov?

Escape from Tarkov is a hardcore and realistic online first-person action RPG/Simulator with MMO features and a story-driven walkthrough.

With each passing day, the situation in the Norvinsk region grows more and more complicated. Incessant warfare in Tarkov has sparked massive panic; the local population has fled the city, but those who stayed are looking to improve their fortunes at the expense of others.

Having accepted the new reality, savage Tarkov locals – “Scavs” flocked into well-armed gangs and started the redivision of the city. Nowadays, Tarkov is separated by unseen borders, controlled by different groups. Gain-greedy gunmen would go to any length to have their way, including the murder of civilians and direct confrontation with the two private military companies.
