Marvel Games and NetEase Games have announced their next special event, the Marvel Rivals Spring Festival. Marvel Rivals is the award-winning and critically acclaimed Super Hero Team-Based PVP Shooter that lets players assemble an ever-evolving all-star squad of Super Heroes and Super Villains battling with unique powers across maps across the Marvel Multiverse. The Marvel Rivals Spring Festival starts on January 23rd at 9 AM UTC.

In our 9/10 review, we said that “Marvel Rivals is fantastic. Everything runs smoothly with a fantastic core gameplay loop. The characters are varied and a blast to use, with a play style available for everyone and a hero they love or can fall in love with. It takes a foundation people know and makes it its own. If NetEase Games can deliver a constant stream of heroes, levels, and modes, Marvel Rivals has everything it needs to succeed.”

What is available in the Marvel Rivals Spring Festival?

The Marvel Rivals Spring Festival

Marvel Rivals Spring Festival adds in a new limited-time game mode, Clash of Dancing Lions, and a Gallery Card customization event – Fortune & Colors. Completing tasks will reward players with limited-time items such as the Star-Lord: Lion’s Mane costume, nameplate, spray, and other rewards.

Clash of Dancing Lions is a new limited-time entertainment mode in which teams compete in a 3v3 format on a designated map. The objective for both teams is to use their skills to gain possession of the ball and maneuver it into the scoring zones located on either side of the field. The first team to reach a predetermined score will be declared the winner.

The trailer has also unveiled new costumes from the Clashing Lions series: Star-Lord: Lion’s Mane, Iron Fist: Lion’s Gaze, and Black Widow: Lion’s Heartbeat. These costumes will make their way to the game in the coming weeks.

Marvel Rivals Spring Festival

To celebrate the launch of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PC, Marvel Rivals will introduce a special Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 bundle, which includes the Advanced Suit 2.0 costume, nameplate, and spray, on January 30th. The Advanced Suit 2.0 blends Otto Octavius’s science with Peter Parker’s genius. Crafted for the most challenging battles, it symbolizes Spider-Man’s true grit as a hero.

In addition to the above, players can continue to get all the latest information from the Game Update, which features full Patch Notes and Hero Balance adjustments.

New to Marvel Rivals? Here is what it is:

In Marvel Rivals, players can look forward to choosing heroes split into three distinct roles based on their unique power inclinations: Vanguard, Duelist, and Strategist. They’ll be free to pick their preferred role and hero, teaming up with allies to create a versatile and dynamic lineup for battle.

You can also reach a whole new level of teamplay and collaboration with Team-Up Abilities, unleashing joint superpowers with their allies and tearing down the battlefield to win in exciting fights! Marvel Rivals is developed by a NetEase team composed of global talent that shares a profound love for the Marvel universe and characters who previously worked on hit shooter franchises played by millions of players worldwide.

The Marvel Rivals Spring Festival starts on January 23rd at 9 AM UTC.
