What is Escape from Tarkov?

Escape from Tarkov is a hardcore and realistic online first-person action RPG/Simulator with MMO features and a story-driven walkthrough.

With each passing day, the situation in the Norvinsk region grows more and more complicated. Incessant warfare in Tarkov has sparked massive panic; the local population has fled the city, but those who stayed are looking to improve their fortunes at the expense of others.

Having accepted the new reality, savage Tarkov locals – “Scavs” flocked into well-armed gangs and started the redivision of the city. Nowadays, Tarkov is separated by unseen borders, controlled by different groups. Gain-greedy gunmen would go to any length to have their way, including the murder of civilians and direct confrontation with the two private military companies.

What’s so special about these new Escape from Tarkov Twitch drops?

The players will have to experience living in the skin of one of the mercenaries who survived the initial stage of the Tarkov conflict. After choosing one of the sides—USEC or BEAR—the player’s character starts to make his way out of the city.

Tarkov is sealed off by the UN and Russian military, supply chains are cut, and communication with operational command is lost. In these conditions, everyone has to make his own choices of what to do and how to get out of the chaos-ridden metropolis.

The reward is a “Serenity” Hideout customization set, which includes exclusive variations of walls, flooring, and ceilings, designed “for those seeking peace and tranquility.” This customization is available only in PvP mode and cannot be acquired through in-game progression.

The limited Twitch Drop is granted only once per Twitch and game account. To receive it, two paid subscriptions (standard or gifted) are required. Renewing an existing subscription also counts. If gifting a subscription, the reward goes to the person who makes the purchase. Free subscriptions (such as Amazon Prime or Bits-based subscriptions) do not count towards this campaign.

New tournament schedule announced for Escape from Tarkov: Arena

Escape from Tarkov

Battlestate Games and Hunt Premier are proud to present the tournament schedule for early 2025 in the competitive tactical shooter Escape from Tarkov: Arena.

North American tournaments will kick off with HPL NA Season 1, with matches starting on February 8. The European scene is gearing up for the HPL EU Season 3, with the first regional matches taking place on March 8.

In addition to set prize pools, leading teams will also receive in-game rewards and unique customization items, with more details regarding said items to be revealed later.

Here’s what to expect in upcoming technical updates:

There’s a whole slew of technical updates coming to Escape from Tarkov that will help make the user experience even better. Brace yourselves. The list is a doozy:

  • Fixes for issues causing FPS drops and stuttering on various locations.
  • Resolution of problems leading to a complete loss of sound during raids.
  • Fixes for incorrect sound playback inside buildings.
  • Addressing certain causes of issues when loading into a raid as a Scav.
  • Fixes for problems where players couldn’t interact with the Keeper due to incorrect spawn points for the Seer and his guards.
  • Resolution of all issues that caused invisible bots to spawn in raids.
  • Visual adjustments to correct fog rendering on various locations.
  • Fixes for problems with item availability and in-game trader quests.
  • Resolution of issues where players received an empty craft in the “Cultist Circle” module in the Hideout.
  • Fix for client freezing when listing an item on the flea market after searching by link.
  • Addition of a graphics setting parameter: “Disable frame limit in-game when Nvidia Reflex is off.”
  • Reduction of instances where players experience rubberbanding during movement.
  • Fixes for incorrect functionality of the Cyclone “Shahin” 3.7x thermal scope.

Like we said, it’s a lot! But Battlestate Games is always looking out for its players. In the meantime, don’t forget that from January 27, 8 AM EST / 1 PM GMT, to February 3, 8 AM EST / 1 PM GMT, players who purchase two paid subscriptions to any Twitch streamer broadcasting in the Escape from Tarkov category will receive a limited Twitch Drop with a unique reward that remains on the player’s account even after a wipe. Take advantage while you can!
