Curious about Luna Abyss? As the forthcoming narrative-driven first-person action-adventure heads to Germany for the first time, remote game development studio Bonsai Collective debuts a brand new trailer showcasing two key characters – Aylin and Fawkes.

The never-before-seen clip casts light on both characters’ roles within the game’s lore, with Aylin serving as the player’s guide as they traverse the diverse environments at the heart of Luna Abyss. As players discover, those who step out into the Luna Abyss will be tasked with uncovering the mysteries of the mimic moon-turned-prison planet and the chasm within its depths.

The governor of the Blood Moon Penal Colony, Aylin, is your primary guide as you step outside your cell. Taking direction from the mysterious All-Father, her primary imperative is to be helpful and supportive of the Scouts under her care. However, her somewhat patchy understanding of humans occasionally leads her to make questionable decisions.

The trailer, which starts with a mysterious and foreboding vibe, also details the game’s lead, prisoner Fawkes, incarcerated on the Blood Moon for embodying the characteristic red eyes of the Marked Ones. Alone, afraid, and thousands of miles from home, Fawkes wants only to survive their sentence, but the Abyss holds many secrets, and unwary Scouts are liable to discover things best left well alone.

Luna Abyss

“The story is an important part of the Luna Abyss experience that Bonsai Collective have been crafting, so it’s really great to finally be able to put it front and center in this brand new trailer,” says Benni Hill, Creative Director at Bonsai Collective. “We can’t wait to show the game to more of our peers at Gamescom.”

While playing Luna Abyss, you will uncover the mysteries of the mimic moon and the abyss within its depths. Come face to face with remnants of the colony’s downfall and discover your role within this doomed world. Learn all the secrets the abyss has to offer.

As a Scout, you sprint, jump, and dash your way through this brutalist alien megastructure. Experience fluid first-person platforming as you travel through Luna and the depths of the abyss. Can you survive deadly bullet-hell encounters with corrupted souls and twisted cosmic horrors? In Luna Abyss, you must master your weapons and make split-second decisions in fast-paced, explosive, bullet-hell combat.

Luna Abyss is currently in development for PC and console. A free demo is currently available for download on Steam for a limited period.
