Extraordinary Attorney Woo Episodes 13-14

Extraordinary Attorney Woo is a Korean legal drama series streaming on Netflix. While the legal battles continue in the courtroom, life grows steadily more complicated for the lawyers at Hanbada. With Min Woo looking to make problems for Young Woo and Attorney Jung suffering from a mysterious illness, things are looking less than smooth for our favorite legal team in Extraordinary Attorney Woo Episodes 13-14.

With this week’s entries, we get our second two-part story of the season. When questions surrounding a charge to use a public road come up, Young Woo’s legal team, along with a couple of hangers-on, end up taking a business trip to Jeju Island. But while the focus is legal, the trip soon becomes as much a vacation as it is work. As Jung is eager to forget his medical situation for a moment and Jun Hoo has a sister on the island to whom he can introduce Young Woo, there are plenty of distractions to be had while there.

With these numerous storylines, along with others, I won’t spoil, coming together, Extraordinary Attorney Woo Episodes 13-14 does an impressive job of utilizing its over two-hour combined runtime. The way the show bounces from plotline to plotline is fluid and smooth, never letting things feel too hectic from frequent shifts in the narrative, nor does it allow one thread to overstay its welcome. This wonderful balance keeps the show clipping along nicely.

Within each of these plots, the series delivers some great moments that range from joyful to heartbreaking, with a fair amount of awkwardness sprinkled in for good measure. The hard moments, as well as the methods some characters employ to deal with them, bring out the discomfort that we experience in real life from such negative social situations skillfully. I more than once had to pause my stream so I could brace myself before continuing to wade through the uncomfortable moments that were playing out before me.

Further enriching the sheer variety of Extraordinary Attorney Woo Episodes 13-14‘s offerings are a handful of comedic moments that are easily the best in the series thus far. With so many heavier moments throughout these stories, a bit of an ice breaker is needed now and then for things not to get suffocating. These breaks come just when needed, thanks to some simple yet highly effective humor from the show’s writing and the cast’s delivery.

With so much being juggled in the show’s here and now, you would think it wouldn’t have time for anything else. Yet, even as this busy duel episode story runs its course, it still makes time to introduce some elements to lead into next week’s final pair of episodes. Things seem like they will be primed to explode as some of the show’s long-simmering plots look to be coming to a head.

When all is said and done, Extraordinary Attorney Woo Episodes 13-14 deliver a highlight story for the series. With so much variety in both narrative and tone, the series displays flexibility and balance that most series wish they could attain.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo Episodes 13-14are streaming now on Netflix, with a new episode dropping each Wednesday and Thursday.
