Today, XSEED Games, the independent-minded publishing brand of Marvelous USA, Inc., is celebrating the 15th anniversary of the popular Rune Factory series following the first title’s release in Japan on Aug. 24, 2006. Originally an RPG spin-off from the STORY OF SEASONS series (Bokujo Monogatari in Japan), Rune Factory has found firm roots with both farming/life-sim and RPG focused audiences over the years and continues to grow, with Rune Factory 5 slated for a North American release on the Nintendo Switch system in early 2022.

To mark this milestone XSEED Games has released a video looking back at the series over the years, detailing the characters and features introduced with each installment. From uncovering sunken islands to playing as a shape-shifting protagonist, the Rune Factory series has taken Earthmates on many fantastical adventures already, with more to come!
