But Why Tho? is a website dedicated to pop culture with news, reviews, interviews, and more, spanning video games, comics, anime, film, television, and books. In 2017, we started with a podcast by asking the question: But why tho? Soon after, we created this site.

Founded in 2018, But Why Tho? is an independent media outlet focused on reviews, interviews, previews, and news about the latest in entertainment. We cover video games, film, television, anime, and comics. A Latina-owned outlet, our site is dedicated to creating equity in the pop culture criticism space.

We regularly attend film festivals, video game media events, and conventions as accredited press, and we pride ourselves on putting thoughtful, honest criticism first, aiming to highlight the importance of viewing media through an intersectional lens.
