Com2uS’s mobile baseball games are getting an overhaul. The South Korean mobile game publisher is celebrating the start of the 2026 Major League Baseball season with major updates across its global mobile baseball lineup, including a new season update for MLB 9 Innings 26 and the official rebrand of MLB Rivals as MLB 9 Innings Rivals 26.

Both MLB 9 Innings 26 and MLB 9 Innings Rivals 26 are officially licensed MLB mobile games featuring real teams, players, and immersive baseball gameplay. These updates introduce new gameplay systems, enhanced presentation, and a slate of in-game events designed to celebrate Opening Day and reward baseball fans around the world.

What is new in MLB 9 Innings 26?

New Season content

The latest update for MLB 9 Innings 26 adds one of baseball’s brightest rising stars to the spotlight. Paul Skenes joins the game as a new cover athlete alongside returning superstar Mike Trout and MLB legend Clayton Kershaw (who is available to recruit starting April 1, 2026).

The update also introduces several gameplay enhancements, including a new Club Level system, a mission-based progression feature designed to help players learn key mechanics while improving the overall gameplay flow. New cinematic animations have also been added to highlight major moments such as walk-off wins, inning transitions, and game-deciding plays, bringing the experience closer to the drama of a real MLB broadcast.

10th Anniversary Rewards

  • Opening Road Event – Now until May 26, 2026: To celebrate both the new season and the game’s 10th anniversary, a series of special events will reward players. The first of the year-long celebration starts now and will run through the Opening Road Event. The Opening Road Event allows players to progress across a reward board using currency earned through gameplay and logins, with rewards including up to five Signature Players and a Diamond Team Selective Prime Player.
  • Now until April 30, 2026: Players who log in by the end of this reward window will also receive a Season Opening Package for free, featuring a Signature Player and a Black Diamond Change Ticket.
  • History Museum Event – Starting May 6, 2026: The 9 Innings 10th Anniversary History Museum event will take players on a journey through the game’s decade-long history. Running through November 14, the event will showcase key milestones and introduce monthly themed activities celebrating the franchise’s legacy.

MLB Rivals  Is Now MLB 9 Innings Rivals 26

MLB 9 Innings 2026 and MLB Rivals 26

Com2uS has also officially renamed MLB Rivals to MLB 9 Innings Rivals 26, aligning the game with the company’s flagship 9 Innings franchise and strengthening brand recognition across its baseball titles. While the naming change may be a little weird at first, it makes sense to pull the publisher’s titles together into one ecosystem.

What is new in the MLB 9 Innings Rivals 26 Update?

The update launches alongside a variety of Opening Day events, including a daily Check-in Event and the Opening Day Daily Mission Event, where players can earn rewards such as Highlight FA Player Cards and other in-game items.

To help new players get started more quickly, the early progression experience has also been streamlined. The Training system has been simplified, onboarding improvements have been introduced, and new and returning players can participate in an updated Preferred Team Player Acquisition Event. But three of the largest updates are listed below:

  • Automated Ball Strike (ABS) Challenge System: A new system that allows pitchers, catchers, or batters to challenge umpire calls using tracking technology, mirroring one of baseball’s newest real-world innovations.
  • Moment Player Acquisition Event: This event allows players to unlock high-performance Moment Players by completing missions and collecting milestone rewards.
  • Support Content: Trying to bridge the mobile game and the stadium, Support Content enables players to earn rewards based on the MLB team they support’s real-world performance during the regular season. Additionally, the stats of Live Cards, which reflect real-world player performance, have been increased.

MLB 9 Innings 26 and MLB 9 Innings Rivals 26 are available on Android and iOS now.
