Love Is Blind is back for its tenth season to prove once again whether or not love is truly blind. Season 10 brings men and women from Ohio together to see if this experiment still works and whether they will find the love of their life through the process. The elephant in the room this season is an issue that carried over from Season 9, leaving no one to get married at the altar. The main problem with Love Is Blind‘s last season was that the show cast many participants who were not ready for marriage, or at least not as prepared as they thought they were.
So it would appear that Season 10 is attempting to address that issue by casting more people and featuring more couples than in previous seasons. However, having more couples this time around makes it a bit challenging to keep up and stay engaged with everyone’s storyline. Not to mention that some of the courtships are sped up a bit in editing, so it feels like we’re blitzing through the dates to the engagements this time around. Which is to be expected when there are seven couple storylines to keep up with this season, but it doesn’t leave much time to be as emotionally invested in everyone.
One of the most significant and consistent concerns among some couples in this season of Love Is Blind seems to be whether they want to have kids. The conversation of having children and what a family looks like for couples is a point of tension for some more than others. For example, Emma has been very vocal about not wanting to have children right now, and she is not sure whether that will change. It is nice to see a woman be able to voice her reasons and genuine concerns.
Most of Love Is Blind Season 10 spends its early episodes in the pods, which is usually pretty dull unless sparks and chemistry are flying between the couples. Needless to say, the drama this season is slow, but it is definitely brewing, especially with the love triangles and relationship dynamics outside of the pods.
Love Is Blind Season 10 Delivers Peak Love Triangle Drama

The most entertaining part of the first six episodes, by far, has been the Kevan, Tyler, and Keya love triangle. Right from the jump, Kevan and Tyler seem to have an instant connection. There is strong chemistry and a promising relationship between the two. This leads Tyler to essentially claim Kevan as her man; unfortunately for her, Kevan also seems to have a spark with Keya, prompting him to explore his feelings for her.
Both Tyler and Keya are gorgeous, amazing women who know what they want out of this experiment: to find someone who loves them the way they deserve to be loved. The drama and tension in the love triangle don’t come from Tyler and Keya being petty or competitive with each other, which is refreshing to see two women support each other rather than tear each other down over a man. Instead, the dilemma in this love triangle comes from Kevan’s indecisiveness and Tyler pushing a little more than she should have.
Kevan is sweet and emotionally available, but lowkey, the man is very indecisive and does not want to hurt anyone, which inevitably means someone will get hurt. Kevan also just gives off the vibe that if he knows someone likes him or thinks they may have a connection, he likes the idea of being chosen, but he struggles to make difficult decisions. It is very clear after his successful first date with Keya that Kevan is torn between the two women.

Instead of having an honest talk with Tyler about still wanting to explore other connections, which, to be fair, is the entire point of Love is Blind, Kevan approaches her with uncertainty about whether he and she will work in the real world. Although Kevan clearly wanted to express how he was feeling, his words and feelings miss the point, and his internal conflict is interpreted as him doubting Tyler rather than trusting the experimental process.
In contrast to Kevan, Tyler does not have a problem making difficult decisions or giving ultimatums when needed. Tyler’s confidence and unwillingness to be someone’s second choice are authentic and valid; however, she does make some missteps in this process. Tyler wants to be locked in immediately with someone she genuinely connects with and feels strongly about. Which she has every right to want to be prioritized and loved; that is not the issue. The issue is that the entire point of the experiments is for everyone to explore their connections naturally, and Tyler was ready to lock in instantly on Kevan from the jump.
Which leads her to push for clarity and give Kevan something of an ultimatum: choose between her and Keya. Even though Kevan initially chooses Tyler and makes it clear he wants to pursue something serious with Tyler, that is not the end of their drama. Minutes later, after just making their relationship official, Tyler pushes them to end things with Keya again. Tyler’s pursuit of clarity and questioning Kevan about his feelings towards Keya feels less about control and more about anxiety and perhaps fear of being rejected.

Keya’s approach, in contrast to Tyler’s, is very different. Keya doesn’t pressure Kevan to make a choice early on and is open to exploring their connection naturally. Tyler gives Kevan a safe space to explore another strong connection. And although she never feels like a second choice, she definitely knows her worth, and Kevan does not deserve it, or rather, he is not ready for it.
Following Tyler’s premature departure from the pods, Kevan decides to pursue something with Keya. Unfortunately for him, Keya tells Kevan the harsh truth: although she loves him, she is not in love with him, and he is not ready to be anyone’s husband, at least not right now.
If we are being honest, Keya said the quiet part out loud for all of us. Kevan is not a bad guy; he wants a wife and to be loved, but he is not ready for marriage right now and should do some more inner work. And honestly, Tyler and Key each deserve someone who is genuinely prepared to choose them without any hesitation.
The Couples that Made it Out of the Pods in Love Is Blind Season 10
Christine and Vic are arguably the most mature relationship onscreen.

Christine and Vic’s relationship feels more interesting than it actually is. Perhaps it is because they are one of the first couples to get engaged, so the audience does not have much time with them in the pods. Even though their courtship in the pods felt rushed, they aren’t the only couple who got that editing treatment. During their pod time, they discussed serious questions about dating outside their races and being in interracial relationships.
Nonetheless, Chris and Vic’s relationship feels mature, intentional, and genuine, but they don’t exactly radiate the spark most Love Is Blind couples do. Overall, they seem to be a good, solid match for each other, but I wonder if that is just because they haven’t found any cracks in their relationship’s foundation just yet.
Their relationship feels pretty surface-level right now, but they do have some interesting dynamics to discuss and to explore once they get back home to Ohio in the real world. The previews for the next batch of episodes indicate that they will eventually have some serious discussions about raising biracial children and racial dynamics.
Chris and Jessica are rather forgettable, so far.

Jessica and Chris honestly just fade into the background in the first batch of episodes. Jessic is 5 years older than Chris, has been married before, and is coming into this process with a clear understanding of what she wants in her next marriage. Meanwhile, Chris feels a bit underwhelming and lacks depth. Which again could be a result of the editing, but it still makes it hard to gauge him and his connection with Jessica.
The age difference between Chris and Jessica doesn’t seem like a huge issue, but it adds some layers to their dynamic and their dating and relationship experiences. Jessica, being a bit older and having been through marriage before, knows what doesn’t serve her. It will be interesting to see whether any issues from Jessica’s previous marriage surface in her new relationship with Chris.
Ashley and Alex are red flag central.

Ashley and Alex have so many red flags, it’s like their relationship is Six Flags. Right from the jump, Alex admitted that physical appearance had driven his past dating and relationships. It is not as if he is the first person on Love Is Blind to have said those words.
However, after Alex and Ashley meet for the first time, it is clear that she is definitely not his usual type, and the lack of physical attraction seems to be causing some conflict for Alex. Oddly enough, his other connection in the pods, Brittany, is much more his type than his fiancée, and that is where the drama is brewing.
After all, the couple met in Malibu, and Alex basically expressed his attraction to Brittany directly, asking if she was struggling to be attracted to Devonta. Alex also made sure not to tell Ashley everything about his talk with Brittany when she asked him about it later.
As for Ashley, she is a sweet girl, but she is just there for most of the episodes. Regardless, Ashley deserves to be with someone honest and fully into her. Instead, she is paired with a man who is trying to determine whether his emotional connection can override his physical attraction and preferences. However, time will surely tell whether Ashley eventually notices Alex’s lack of attraction to her.
Brianna and Connor aren’t afraid to have hard conversations.

Brianna and Connor are excellent together and have a strong connection right from the start. They have the spark and chemistry that make their relationship feel genuine; unfortunately, they face a few obstacles.
After leaving the pods and meeting the other couples, it is clear that Brianna wants to get some closure with her former connection, Chris. Although Brianna was the one who cut things off with Chris in the pods, she still feels a powerful connection with him and wants to talk to him now that they are in the real world.
After Briana says she wants to talk to Chris to get some closure because they had such deep conversations, it stirs up some of Connor’s insecurities. Although it is fair that Brianna wants closure, it still comes off as her having lingering feelings for a past connection.
It will be interesting to see if Brianna fully closes her chapter with Connor. Likewise, it will be interesting to see whether and how Connor continues to address his insecurities with Brianna directly, and whether they can overcome them together.
Amber and Jordan are just simply adorable.

Amber and Jordan’s relationship radiates the chill, lovable golden retriever energy. Both bring a certain level of honesty, vulnerability, and positivity to one another. Amber is a single mom to one daughter and is coming into Love Is Blind looking for a partner who understands and accepts not just her but her daughter as well.
So it is surprising that she matches well with Jordan, who, before filming, told production that kids were a dealbreaker for him. Surprisingly enough, Amber having a kid does not stop Jordan from getting to know her and developing feelings for her.
Jordan also wins major brownie points for baking Amber some cookies. The scene would make anyone giddy and want to root for this couple. They have genuine feelings for each other and have had tough discussions, but it is clear they are both operating from a good place. Amber and Jordan are definitely the most normal, realistic couple this season, whom audiences can’t help but root for.
Devonta and Brittany will easily ruffle feathers for viewers.

I honestly forgot Devonta and Brittany were in the pods until Love Is Blind Season 10 Episode 4. As much as I want to root for them, they both make it a little complicated. It is clear that they are another couple whose physical appearances do not align with their usual “types”.
Brittany calling Devonta “shorter than she expected,” and Devonta, a biracial man, calling her a woman of color whom he had never considered dating or marrying in the past, are both very odd and concerning choices. Both comments feel superficial; however, Devonta’s remarks are a bit more concerning. Both Brittany and Devonta are trying to navigate their emotional connection alongside their physical chemistry. Still, a visible distance is growing between them with each episode after the pods.
Throughout Love is Blind Season 10 Episode 6, Devonta does not really seem to be engaging with the woman he is supposed to be involved with. In the same episode, Brittany feels there is a wall between them that prevents the emotional and physical aspects of their relationship from connecting. Brittany even expresses that she is open to having sex to help improve the physical connection, but it is clear that she and Devonta have not reached that level of intimacy just yet.
To be fair, Devonta probably should have left the show after he learned that his grandfather had passed away. Grief is complicated to process. Maybe being on a dating show and away from his family during a difficult time in his life was not the right decision. There is nothing wrong with him trying to process this grief, but it is affecting his relationship with Brittany.
Kids stand at the forefront of Michael and Emma’s relationship.

Michael and Emma’s journey in the Love is Blind pods has been very vulnerable and raw from the start. They are definitely a pair that complements each other very well, whether it is holding space for each other or making each other laugh; their connection just feels real.
Michael and Emma’s most significant challenge ahead is the decision to have kids. Emma is currently unsure whether she ever wants to have children, and her reasons are valid. She was adopted, has no connection with her biological family, and she has some concerns about whether her genetics might cause her child to have health issues like she did growing up.
Additionally, Emma feels she is at a point in her life when she does not want to prioritize caring for another life right now. All of which are valid and real things someone should seriously consider when deciding whether they are ready to have children.
Michael, on the other hand, has always been very passionate and excited about having kids. At some point, Michael offers reassurance about some of Emma’s concerns about motherhood. However, it is awkward and a bit icky that Michael keeps bringing up having kids with Emma.
Although Emma is not entirely opposed to having children, she has made it very clear from the start of their relationship that she is unsure about having them in the future. Understandably, he wants to discuss the subject with Emma further to see if there is a compromise, but it seems he is just trying to sell her on the idea.
Love is Blind Season 10 is trying to overcompensate, or rather outwork a casting problem, by featuring a larger group of couples. This is resulting in some questionable editing and overstuffed storylines, but at least it is making for some decent reality show entertainment. It is clear this season’s question is not ‘is love blind,’ but really ‘if more couples means more marriages or drama and messy breakups.
Love Is Blind Season 10 Episodes 1-6 are streaming exclusively on Netflix. The next batch of episodes will be released on February 18.
