The Invisible Man and His Soon to Be Wife Episode 4 continues to impress, offering everything viewers want and more. It maintains its animation quality by Project No.9 and continues expanding the world, while remaining engaging.

The Invisible Man and His Soon to Be Wife Episode 4 begins as Madaraito (Junya Enoki) introduces a new client to the detective agency. This time, the client is another invisible person. She was falsely accused of stealing money from her workplace and is now seeking the agency’s help to clear her name.

Tounome (Yōhei Azakami) is understandably pleased to meet another invisible person, as they both have never met one in the city before. Through the client, we also learn that there’s a village of invisible people, but Tounome was raised outside of it. Additionally, we learn that invisible people have always been treated with suspicion because of their abilities and have felt mistreated because of it, so this case isn’t uncommon for them.

The Invisible Man and His Soon to Be Wife Episode 4 continues seamlessly introducing new narrative details.

The anime continues to excel at introducing new narrative and world details in a seamless, engaging way. This episode, like previous episodes, provides more details about the invisible people, which is great. Their nature are some of the anime’s biggest mysteries.

Jarashi (Riho Sugiyama) teases Yakou (Yuka Nukui) about how excited Tounome is to meet a new invisible person and whether she feels self-conscious. Yakou brushes it off, but also notices that Tounome is angry about the client’s situation. Tounome and Madaraito head to the client’s office to confront her vice president, who has been temporarily filling in for the president. He tries to shift the blame to the client by using camera footage showing no one entering the room.

He claims, despite this, the money disappeared from the safe, so it must have been her. However, attentive viewers will know that invisible people cannot go through items, and as the footage shows the safe closed at all times, she couldn’t have stolen the money. The two characters expose the Vice President’s embezzlement and defamation plot and clear the client’s name.

This scene, yet again, proves that despite some conflicts, the anime’s stakes are always low, as problems are quickly resolved. However, the scene is still entertaining and successfully calls back to information from a previous episode in a way viewers can appreciate.

Tounome and Yakou’s relationship is progressing smoothly.

The detective agency celebrates its accomplishment, and Yakou admits to Tounome that she was worried about his rage over the client’s situation because of how sympathetic he was towards the client. Because of this, she tried her best to help with the case, and Tounome is appreciative. They all decide to celebrate fully by going on a company retreat at a mountain camp.

There, Tounome and Yakou take a walk as the others set up the camp supplies. They talk more about the case, share their first kiss at the end of the walk, and spend more time together afterwards. This serves as the episode’s obligatory cute romance scene that makes it clear that the relationship between the two is progressing smoothly.

The two head back, and Madaraito tells the group the cute story about how he and Kikira (Masaya Fukunishi) met in high school and how they started dating. The scene does a good job of providing another wholesome moment in the anime, exploring the characters’ pasts and personalities, but not much else.

The Invisible Man and His Soon to Be Wife Episode 4 cements it as one of the best romances of the season.

The next day, the group decided to hang out and fish next to a nearby pond. Tounome assists Yakou in putting on her swimsuit, leading to another cute and funny scene between the two. They all head to the pond, and while trying to fish, Tonome gets soaked, and Jarashi calls out how his built figure can be seen through his clothes.

This makes Yakou jealous, and while Tounome consoles her, the two get told off by Jarashi, who stares at them uncomfortably. This leads to another funny scene. The episode ends with Tounome silently wishing to take Yakou on a private trip.

Overall, The Invisible Man and His Soon to Be Wife Episode 4 is another cute and entertaining episode that continues to develop the world and characters engagingly, cementing it as one of the best romance anime of the season.
