Have you ever wanted to herd sheep as a little doggo? Well, mark your calendars for 2027 because you’ll get the chance with the arrival of Frame Interactive’s The Free Shepherd.
Announced during The Game Awards 2025 Pre-Show, Ben Throop, Creative Lead of Frame Interactive, revealed The Free Shepherd, an atmospheric adventure where a loyal border collie sets out alone to save flocks of lost sheep in a beautiful and mysterious world, coming to PC and PS5 in 2027.
The announcement trailer was dropped, giving players a look at the visuals to expect and the cozy escapism the game promises to deliver when it arrives. Aerial views of sloping green hills with sheep pepper the trailer, and the little sheepdog you will play in-game is falling not too far behind those floofy little rascals.
