One Battle After Another and Sinners lead the Austin Film Critics Association’s (AFCA) 2025 awards with nominations in 11 categories, including Best Director, Best Picture, Best Score, Best Editing, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, and numerous acting categories. 

Other major contenders include Marty Supreme, which received nominations in 8 categories, Weapons, with 4 nominations, and The Secret Agent, with 4 nominations as well. The AFCA 2025 Awards continue to celebrate new creative talent with nominations for Andrew DeYoung (Friendship), Carson Lund (Eephus), Charlie Polinger, (The Plague), Kristen Stewart, (The Chronology of Water), and Eva Victor (Sorry, Baby).
