Persona 5 The Phantom X dropped its highly anticipated update, Version 2.4, today. The latest content drop includes the fan favorite hacker, Futaba Sakura, a new Crossroads of Fate update, a new login bonus, and more.

Futaba Sakura, the latest new 5 Star Contract, is one of the most highly anticipated characters in the game. Already a favorite from Persona 5, Futaba is one of the best navigators in the game, and will remain so for quite some time. She’s a must-pull for a strong crew, especially with later Velvet Trials requiring multiple squads.

Futaba adds a new debuff meta to Persona 5 The Phantom X.

Persona 5 The Phantom X Version 2.4 Futaba Abilities

Futaba’s support kit is built around debuffing enemies, messing with their affinities to the player’s benefit. She can turn normal affinities to weaknesses, further weakness damage, and increase damage for your team while granting shields. She’s been buffed as well in the global launch, with increased round effectiveness across her kit.

For example, while her Defense down skill, Pentest Complete!, decreased defense for two turns in other versions, her global kit drops it for three turns. She has similar buffs across her kit, making her even more powerful than expected. With the recently added Guaranteed Contracts, it should be easier than before to get Futaba on your team.

Version 2.4 brings a new Crossroads of Fate event that teams up with the original Persona 5 cast.

Persona 5 The Phantom X Version 2.4 Masaki Synergy

Alongside Futaba, Version 2.4 also brings a new Crossroads of Fate event. This time, it’s focused on the Pyramid Arc, blending together the new Phantom Thieves with the original cast from Persona 5 for another adventure. There’s also a new Boss Battle linked to it, which can be rerun until November 25th for plenty of rewards. It’s similar to previous Boss Battle events, where you fight through levels 1 to 30. Once you beat the boss once on any given difficulty, you can fight it again on Stamina mode, this time spending stamina for greater rewards.

Version 2.4 continues Persona 5: The Phantom X‘s run of great patches. While opinions were mixed on everything in Version 1—from a story that didn’t quite compare to the base game to features missing from other versions—the inclusions and updates across Version 2 have been awesome.

The story is genuinely fantastic, rivaling some of the most interesting in the entire franchise. New characters that redefine the meta as they arrive in Chord and Futaba make multiple team compositions possible. With the conclusion of Version 2’s story on the horizon, it’s the perfect time to jump in.

Rounding out the new update is a new login bonus, a new synergy character, and new city life updates. The log-in bonus grants players a Platinum Millicoin every day for 7 days, useful for pulling for Futaba’s 5-star weapon. The new synergy character, Masaki Ashiya, offers bonuses for an upcoming card game called Tycoon, which is set to launch later this month. New city life updates include the addition of Futaba to Cafe Leblanc, among others. A new Phantom Pass is now live, as well.

Persona 5: The Phantom X is available now on Android, iOS, and PC.
