Football Manager 26, which launched last month, has been announcing new partnerships since before launch. One big one included their exclusive deal with FIFA for hosting officially licensed World Cup matches in-game. Now, Angel City FC (ACFC) today announced a new partnership with Sports Interactive’s Football Manager.
“We are delighted to partner with Angel City,” commented Miles Jacobson, Studio Director at Sports Interactive, in a release to press. “We announced in 2021 that we were adding Women’s Football to our games to help break the glass ceiling and drive the women’s game forward. By working with a trailblazing club like Angel City we’re not just supporting a team, we’re showing what’s possible when football and technology unite.”

The announcement comes after a critically acclaimed launch for the title’s latest entry, Football Manager 26. Our critic said, “Football Manager 26 is a revolutionary change to a longstanding franchise that has more than enough great updates to overcome a few small warts. If Sports Interactive can iron those out over time, Football Manager 26 could easily go down as one of the best in the history of the franchise.”
The partnership with Angel City FC comes following the launch of women’s soccer in the management sim and is done to highlight both ACFC and Sport Interactive’s dedication to bringing women’s football to more people. With women’s football making its debut in Football Manager 26, the game is opening up new opportunities to showcase the talent of women’s football.
Despite FM26 launching women’s football for the first time, the approach has been focused on embracing women’s soccer as a whole and not just concentrating on European leagues or only the US. Instead, the game features some of the world’s top leagues, including the NWSL in the United States, England’s Women’s Super League, and, of course, leagues in Spain, France, and other countries.
“We’re excited to join forces with Football Manager, a brand that shares our passion for innovation and progress in football,” commented Julie Uhrman, CEO and Co-Founder of ACFC in the same release. “This partnership not only gives our coaches and players new tools and insights, but also ensures that the world gets to experience Angel City’s story in the game – helping us inspire the next generation of players and fans.”
