The new James Bond game is getting closer to release, and everything we learn has me more excited. Developed by IO Interactive, 007 First Light had two big updates. The first is that we’re getting to see the Aston Martin Valhalla Supercar in action when the game launches on March 27, 2026. Second, the game will be optimized for the ROG Xbox Ally X and ROG Xbox Ally and will have Xbox Play Anywhere support at launch.

As the brand new, and reimagined origin story for James Bond, 007 First Light is both going back to the classics that have defined him, but doing it with the latest tech.

What is the Aston Martin Valhalla Supercar?

007 First Light Aston Martin But Why Tho 1

The Aston Martin Valhalla Supercar is the first-ever mid-engine plug-in supercar in the game. This car was added to represent the symbol of innovation that fans have come to expect from James Bond’s tech and his car. According to IO Interactive’s release about the news, the supercar is infused with advanced Formula 1 engineering and is about embodying “aerodynamic mastery, striking form, and exquisite detailing.” The supercar’s production is limited to just 999 units worldwide.

Hakan Abrak, CEO of IO Interactive, said in a comment to media via a press release, “The reveal of Valhalla in 007 First Light marks one of the many steps our team is taking to honor the iconic cars that define the Bond legacy. Cars have always been at the core of the James Bond experience, reflecting his style, ingenuity, and daring personality. With the debut of Valhalla, players will encounter a machine that embodies that spirit, capturing the excitement of Bond’s world and the timeless elegance of his vehicles.”

007 First Light – Aston Martin Valhalla Reveal

A Double 0 agent needs the fastest, most dynamic, and the most striking car when they are on duty. Meet the Aston Martin Valhalla. A hybrid twin-turbo V8 with over 1000 horsepower and a few modifications you won’t find in the brochure. To drive this, Bond will have to #EarnTheNumber in #007FirstLight.

What to expect from 007 First Light?

James Bond in 007 First Light

In 007 First Light, players will step into the shoes of a young Bond, a promising yet rebellious Royal Navy air crewman who is recruited into MI6. His sharp instincts and heroism in combat propel him into the agency’s rigorous training program for the once-revered and newly resurrected elite 00 section.

For the first time ever, fans will be able to experience Bond’s ascent at MI6 from a young 26-year-old recruit into a full-fledged spy, immersing them in the exotic and dangerous world of espionage captured in the films. Bond’s adventures will take players all around the globe, coming face to face with allies and foes (or in some cases, both), while choosing how they overcome obstacles and challenges, whether it be with brute force, cunning guile, or charming wit.

Players will choose how to utilize Bond’s unique skills in combat, relationships, and the latest in Q’s technological gadgetry in his ascent to becoming 007. Along the way, they will meet familiar faces like M, Q, and Moneypenny. They will be introduced to new characters, including Bond’s mentor John Greenway, the mysterious Isola, and a whole new cast of villains.

007  First Light on Xbox

Alongside the reveal of the Aston Martin Valhalla, IO Interactive announced that 007 First Light will be available on the ROG Xbox Ally X and ROG Xbox Ally at launch. The handheld certification isn’t the only thing in the announcement. As noted above, the game will also be an Xbox Play Anywhere title, which will allow players to play across Xbox consoles and Windows PC with shared progress and achievements.
