Fans eager for high-stakes baseball action won’t have to wait, as the event is already live, promising up to 200 free Scouts and a host of limited-time content.

What is new in the MLB Rivals 2025 Postseason?

The developers have clearly listened to community feedback, delivering changes that look set to reshape the competitive landscape of the game. The core focus is on deeper strategy and more personal, head-to-head competition.

Club Strategy Changes

The existing Club Battle System has been completely overhauled, moving away from the previous four-club daily contests to intense, one-on-one showdowns. This change fundamentally shifts the tactical approach for competitive clubs.

  • Head-to-Head Action: Clubs now face a single opponent, forcing a more direct and focused strategy.
  • Tactical Formations: Club leaders gain a new layer of control, able to assign members to either Attack or Defense formations.
  • Unique Boosts: Each formation type comes with its own unique boost effects, making team composition and assignment a critical part of pre-match planning.

What are Hero Moment Cards?

In a direct nod to the real-world drama of the MLB Postseason, MLB RIVALS is introducing Playoff Hero Moment Cards. These collectible cards spotlight players who delivered truly unforgettable, game-changing performances in past playoff contests.

This provides a thrilling new avenue for both collectors and competitors to relive and recruit legendary, clutch players into their own rosters.

MLB Rivals 2025 Postseason Rewards

The celebrations are backed by a major rewards rollout, giving players plenty of reasons to log in daily and participate in the new content. These special events officially started on September 29, 2025, and run throughout the Postseason.

  • Massive Free Scouts: Players can earn up to 200 Postseason Scout Tickets just for participating.
  • High-Value Items: Premium items like the FA Signature Pack are claimable through event participation.
  • Guaranteed Playoff Hero: Beginning October 16, players will have the chance to recruit one of the new Playoff Hero Moment Cards from their favorite team.
  • Daily Mission Loot: Daily missions will now reward coveted items, including the Team Selective Prime Pack, the Superior Skill Change Ticket, and the Limit Break Card.
  • Power Challenge: The Ranked Slugger World Championship special event is live, allowing players to test their home run prowess for exclusive Postseason prizes.

What to expect from MLB Rivals?

MLB RIVALS remains pushing to be an authentic baseball simulator, boasting official licenses from both MLB and MLB Players, Inc. The title features global cover athletes Jung Hoo Lee, Bryce Harper, and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, delivering intense action with high-fidelity graphics.

This Postseason event builds on recent major content additions, including a landmark partnership with the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum that introduced baseball legends such as Derek Jeter, Greg Maddux, Don Sutton, Tony Pérez, Jack Morris, and Tim Raines to the game.

MLB RIVALS is available now on Steam for PC, the Apple App Store, and Google Play Store.
