Netflix announced the release date for A House of Dynamite, the new dramatic thriller from Academy Award-winning director Kathryn Bigelow. Written by Noah Oppenheim, the film will be available to stream globally on October 24, following limited theatrical engagements starting on October 3, 2025, in the UK and on October 10, 2025, worldwide. The film boasts a notable cast with Idris Elba, Rebecca Ferguson, Jared Harris, Greata Lee, and more.

The film, which has its world premiere on September 2, 2025, during the 82nd Venice Film Festival, is said to be a visceral look at a high-stakes geopolitical crisis. Known for her work in political thrillers, A House of Dynamite is a return to the genre that made Bigelow a household name, whose past work includes The Hurt Locker and Zero Dark Thirty.
