Netflix is set to reboot the popular series Crime Scene with a new installment titled Crime Scene Zero, premiering globally on September 23, 2025. This unique role-playing mystery series, which will release 10 episodes over the course of three weeks, puts its cast in the dual role of suspect and detective in a game of deduction and mind games. The series promises to deliver shocking twists and high-stakes psychological battles.

This is the third time that the Korean reality TV series has aired, only now it’s on Netflix.

What is Crime Scene Zero?

Crime Scene Zero is a reality series blending gripping storytelling with meticulously designed cases and immersive roleplay. The unique format challenges both the players and the viewers to hone their deduction skills. Each episode promises shocking reversals, heightened psychological tension, and moments of wit that cut through the suspense.

Suspects, secrets, survival | Crime Scene Zero | Netflix [ENG SUB]

Crime Scene Zero is coming September 23, only on Netflix: https://www.netflix.com/title/81950436 In this crime-solving reality show, players take on the roles of detectives and suspects. With clues and wits, can they expose the culprit among them?

The official teaser trailer for the series offers a glimpse of haunting crime scenes, eccentric character styles, and the explosive performances from the cast as they embark on the high-stakes mysteries that lie ahead. A new surprise celebrity guest will join the cast each week, adding an extra layer of unpredictability and twists to the psychological battles.

Returning Crime Scene Zero cast: 

  • Park Ji-yoon: Park Ji-yoon is a former announcer and host who is currently hosting Gourmet Road and has been a part of the Crime Scene since 2014.
  • Jang Jin: A filmmaker, Jang Jin has served as a writer, director, or both on projects that span film genres including: Man on High Heels, The Recipe, and Welcome to Dongmakgol.
  • Jang Dong-min: A comedian known for his foul language, Jang Dong-min was the winner of the 3rd and 4th seasons of The Genius and was featured in Crime Scene Returns.

New Crime Scene Zero cast: 

  • Kim Ji-hoon: An actor, Kim Ji-hoon, who has been seen in multiple titles in Netflix’s Korean television slate (Celebrity, Love to Hate You, Money Heist: Korea, and Behind Every Star).
  • An Yu-jin: Like Key, An Yu-jin is a member of a K-pop group, IVE, and a former member of the South Korean-Japanese girl group Iz*One. 

Special Guest Spot: The sixth spot will be featured by rotating celebrities. We will update this section as new guests are announced. 

Where can I watch the original Crime Scene?

Crime Scene was a South Korean variety program with Hong Jin-ho, Park Ji-yoon, NS Yoon-G, Jun Hyun-moo, Lim Bang-geul, and Kang Yong-suk as the cast for the first season. The reality series ran from 2014 until 2017 in Korea.

The second iteration of the Korean reality TV Series, Crime Scene Returns, released in 2024, featured both Park Ji-yoon and Jang Jin returning from the third season, and Jang Dong-min returning from the second season. There is currently no way to watch past Crime Scene series in the United States.

What is the release date?

Crime Scene Zero releases exclusively on Netflix September 24, 2025.
