Artis Impact, a hand-drawn love letter to classic RPGs, is now available on Steam. Solo-developed over four years by Malaysian artist Mas, the game reimagines a post-apocalyptic world with a cozy, humorous, and hopeful twist. The popular Artis Impact: Meiji Spa demo, initially released for the Steam Summer Festival, is now included as a part of the main game.

The game is a turn-based adventure that blends heartfelt storytelling, expressive pixel art, and simple combat mechanics. Players step into the shoes of Akane, a sharp-tongued wanderer, and her AI companion Bot as they explore a world filled with secrets.

Mas is an independent developer from Malaysia and is behind the creation of Artis Impact. In 2019, he began to explore deeper themes through art and game development, bringing the two mediums together in his own, beautiful way.

What is Artis Impact?

The official synopsis from Mas is: Artis Impact is a story of growth, choice, and the search for belonging in an ever-changing, post-apocalyptic world. Alongside her clever robot companion, Bot, Akane will navigate a landscape filled with mysteries, where each decision holds weight and every adventure reveals a more profound truth about humanity and self.

Can Akane find the lost hope buried beneath the ruins? Can she create a new future in a world that seems beyond saving? In Artis Impact, you’ll move between moments of light-hearted simplicity and high-stakes adventure, unlocking secrets that challenge both the world around you and the person you are becoming.

A free demo is also available on Steam, allowing you to try out the turn-based combat and hand-drawn world before you buy.
