Alongside news of the Version 1.0 release date, more details surrounding Patch 0.16.9.0 were revealed by the team, with the primary focus being on finalizing things before the launch date. So, what does that exactly entail?

More info on Patch 0.16.9.0

Turning over all the fine details to deliver optimum game-playing experiences has always been central to Battlestate Games’s work, and this final patch is designed purely to address the finer details.

The development team is currently focused on optimizing the final version of the game. Patch 0.16.9.0 serves as an interim milestone, bringing a significant number of improvements and changes.

The main highlight is the long-awaited synchronization between Escape From Tarkov: Arena and EFT PvE Zone. Its key feature is a one-way sync: progress in Escape From Tarkov: Arena will sync with PvE Zone, but progress in PvE Zone will not sync with Escape From Tarkov: Arena.

This one-way synchronization includes the addition of the trader Ref, the ability to transfer currency, synchronization of Tactical Clothing sets and Battle Pass rewards, along with several other innovations.

Additionally, improvements have been made to enemy AI systems and in-game audio to better optimize the user experience, particularly with misfiring AI and volume issues players were having previously.

If you want more comprehensive details surrounding all the changes coming in the latest patch update, here are the patch notes from the website.

 What is Escape from Tarkov?

Escape from Tarkov is a hardcore and realistic online first-person action RPG/Simulator with MMO features and a story-driven walkthrough.

With each passing day, the situation in the Norvinsk region grows more and more complicated. Incessant warfare in Tarkov has sparked massive panic; the local population has fled the city, but those who stayed are looking to improve their fortunes at the expense of others.

Having accepted the new reality, savage Tarkov locals – “Scavs” flocked into well-armed gangs and started the redivision of the city. Nowadays, Tarkov is separated by unseen borders, controlled by different groups. Gain-greedy gunmen would go to any length to have their way, including the murder of civilians and direct confrontation with the two private military companies.
