Take one of the United Kingdom’s most iconic characters and turn him into a reality competition series, and that’s how you get 007: Road To A Million. Prime Video has shared the trailer and key art for the UK Original reality competition, 007 Road To A Million Series 2, inspired by the James Bond franchise.

The second series of the Bond-based competition launches globally on Prime Video on August 22, 2025. Airing eight episodes in total on the streamer. But that’s not the news. That honor goes to the fact that Brian Cox will return to the reality series as “The Controller.” A fan favorite last series, the character will have an expanded presence and oversee the high-stakes global adventure. Cox is joined by Frances McNamee, who will portray his right-hand woman, Sofia.

Speaking about the new series, Brian Cox said: “Returning as The Controller this time around, the series feels more high-octane, more immersive, and definitely more Bond. The challenges are bigger, the drama runs deeper, and I’ve got the best seat in the house to watch it unfold.”

What is the 007 Road To A Million Series?

The second series will feature eight pairs of ordinary people who are sent on a thrilling, 007-inspired journey across the globe. From climbing towers in Bangkok to diving with sharks in the Bahamas, the pairs will face epic challenges designed to test their skills, relationships, and endurance.

The slowest pairs in 007 Road To A Million Season 2 will face elimination in the tense “Killer Question” round. But it’s not a competition without a winner. So, only one duo will make it to London to face The Controller in person for a chance to win the £1 million prize.

This season provides a glimpse into The Controller’s global operation and the network he commands, hinting at the vast reach of his organization. The format of the competition has been reinvented for the new series, offering a fresh and ambitious take on the original season.
