The developers of 2022’s acclaimed title Endling: Extinction is Forever have announced their next project: Rewilders: The Lost Spring. The game is an open-world action roguelite that blends creature collection with Metroidvania-style progression, all within an emotionally charged narrative.

Herobeat’s debut title, Endling: Extinction is Forever, told the heartfelt and heartbreaking story of the last family of foxes surviving an ecologically devastated future Earth marred by toxic environments, cruel hunters, and dangerous natural elements.

In a release to the media, Herobeat stated that, “While Rewilders isn’t a complete spiritual successor to the team’s first title, players can expect echoes of Endling’s heartfelt storytelling, lovingly designed aesthetics and score within, filled with messages that last well after the credits have finished rolling.”

What is Rewilders: The Lost Spring about?

In Rewilders: The Lost Spring, you play as Abi, a survivor returning to a poisoned world to rescue her lost family and restore the wilderness. The game sends you on a mission to rewild corrupted biomes and reactivate Springs, bringing life back one biome at a time. The new trailer shows off the game’s original theme song, featuring vocals from Julie Elven, known for her work on Horizon Zero Dawn.
