What is Netflix’s Pokémon Concierge?

Pokemon Concierge Season 2 But Why Tho 9

The first four episodes of Pokémon Concierge introduced viewers to Haru, a young woman who sought refuge from a stressful city life by taking a job at the Pokémon Resort. Surrounded by supportive colleagues and free-spirited Pokémon, Haru embarked on a journey of self-discovery and healing, a narrative that resonated with people worldwide. The series has received international praise for its distinctive visuals and emotional storytelling, earning accolades at the 2024 Annie Awards and 2024 Annecy Awards.

In our review of the series, our critic said:

“Pokémon Concierge demonstrates that the franchise holds boundless storytelling potential. Through its captivating stop-motion animation, the series reimagines the essence of the Pokémon world, bringing its unique characters to life in a charming environment.

While the series has a short runtime and a predominantly surface-level narrative, it surprises viewers with profound moments and themes explored in Haru’s arc. Pokémon Concierge is an entertaining and worthwhile watch, especially for fans.“

What Can We Expect From Pokémon Concierge Season 2?

The newly released trailer for the upcoming episodes showcases a more confident Haru embracing new challenges at the resort alongside her steadfast companion, Psyduck. She welcomes new Pokémon guests, including Sealeo, Shinx, Luxray, and Arcanine, handling both endearing moments and unexpected surprises with increasing assurance.

Pokémon Concierge Season 2’s narrative takes an intriguing turn with the arrival of Kent (Jacob Bertrand), a mysterious visitor from the city with connections to Haru’s past, accompanied by his Arcanine. The episodes also introduce Dan (Craig Lee Thomas), a seasoned Trainer traveling with his loyal partner Sealeo. These new episodes promise to deliver a blend of emotion, healing, and the beloved “Pokémon magic” that fans adore, all set against the tranquil island backdrop.
