nDreams Elevation Unveils Debut VR Title, ‘Reach’

nDreams Elevation shared its first title, Reach, with a world-exclusive trailer during today’s Future Games Show. This action-adventure VR experience will launch later this year across all major current and upcoming headsets, marking nDreams’ most ambitious project to date.

The developers shared via a press release that Reach has been designed to push the boundaries of VR gameplay. It aims to combine high agency, cinematic scale, and tactile, full-body immersion within a richly detailed world where different realities converge.

Glenn Brace, Head of Studio at nDreams Elevation, stated that the team set out to create an action-adventure where players feel present, powerful, and in complete control. He added that the studio’s ethos has always been to advance VR gameplay through rich physical engagement and player performance roleplay, and that Reach represents the culmination of those efforts. Brace expressed eagerness for players to experience it firsthand.

The reveal also included an introduction from industry veteran Shuhei Yoshida. Yoshida also shared his excitement, noting he was thrilled to help introduce Reach to the world. He mentioned being a longtime fan of nDreams’ work and was impressed by the level of immersion, freedom, and creativity after playing the game himself. Yoshida believes this debut title from the Elevation studio is a pioneering step forward for VR and eagerly anticipates players experiencing it.

nDreams, headquartered in Farnborough, UK, is recognized as the world’s most experienced VR game developer and publisher, known for titles like Frenzies and the award-winning Synapse and Fracked. Since 2013, the company has been fully dedicated to VR games, partnering with other developers on projects ranging from the cozy city creator Little Cities to the frenetic shooter Vendetta Forever.

What is Reach?

In Reach, players will embody a reluctant hero thrust into a dangerous journey to uncover the secrets of an underground civilization. The game boasts true-to-life full-body awareness and presence, deeply tactile interactions powered by advanced physics, and intuitive, gesture-driven traversal, all intended to set new standards in VR immersion. Players must fight mythical threats, master versatile tools, and forge a path through a dynamic world where every action directly influences the adventure.
