  • “Behind Gachiakuta” Video Interview: A behind-the-scenes look at creators Kei Urana and Hideyoshi Andou, diving into their creative process and passion for fusing manga with graffiti
  • Gachiakuta Graffiti Maker Website: An interactive experience where fans can create their own personalized “Gachi-style” graffiti tags inspired by the series’ bold aesthetic

OP/ED Artists Officially Revealed

  • Opening Theme: “HUGs” by Paledusk – The globally rising four-piece band infuses their hardcore sound with the emotional resonance of Gachiakuta’s world.
  • Ending Theme: ” TOMOSHIBI“ by DUSTCELL – Known for their dark, evocative compositions, the duo brings a deeply personal touch that mirrors Rudo’s journey.

New Characters & Voice Actors Revealed

Two new characters join the cast of Gachiakuta, along with their celebrated voice actors:

  • Regto (voiced by Toshiyuki Morikawa): The man who raised Rudo after he lost his parents. He gave Rudo a pair of gloves.

  • Jabber (voiced by Yuuki Shin): One of the “Raiders,” a group of ground bandits. He fights using rings containing a powerful neurotoxin.

More about Gachiakuta

Gachiakuta follows Rudo, who lives in the slums of a floating town, where the poor scrape by under the shadow of the rich who live a sumptuous life, simply casting their garbage off the side, into the abyss. Then one day, he’s falsely accused of murder, and his wrongful conviction leads to an unimaginable punishment—exile off the edge, with the rest of the trash.

Down on the surface, the cast-off waste of humanity has bred vicious monsters, and if Rudo wants to have any hope of discovering the truth and seeking vengeance against those who cast him into Hell, he will have to master a new power and join a group known as the Cleaners who battle the hulking trash beasts of the Pit!

Gachiakuta is an action manga written and illustrated by manga artist Kei Urana and graffiti artist Hideyoshi Andou. It began serialization in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in February 2022 and won the Global Special Prize in the Comics category of the Next Manga Awards 2022. While developing the concept for the series, Urana thought that incorporating graffiti art would make it more interesting and enlisted the help of graffiti artist Hideyoshi Andou.

Crunchyroll’s exclusive rights include worldwide streaming (excluding Belarus, Russia, and Asia but including India), ensuring fans worldwide can experience Gachiakuta starting July 6, 2025.
