Football Heroes League, the free-to-play tactical soccer game with heroes, skills, and over-the-top multiplayer action from Run Games, earns a promotion to PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, when it launches into 1.0 on September 16, 2025 alongside the currently available PC version on Steam and the Epic Games Store, as revealed at The MIX’s June showcase.

“A lot of us at Run Games are life-long soccer players, and Football Heroes League reflects our love of the game,” said Michael Marzola, Run Games President. “We wanted to take what we love about soccer – the tactics and excitement and spectacle of it – and combine it with our love of arcade sports games and hero shooters. Soccer is for everybody, and we think this is a perfect way for old-school fans and newcomers alike to enjoy it together.”

As of June 3, 2025, the game on Steam and Epic Games Stores is still available in Early Access, allowing players to assist in providing feedback that can help shape the game for the better, which leads us to the game itself. What does Football Heroes League entail?

More about Football Heroes League

In the near future, soccer’s popularity has made it the world’s dominant form of competition, attracting the talents of superhuman athletes with technology-enhanced abilities that reshape the game. Robotic drones, the power to harness the elements, and even DNA modification are all on the table – anything to gain that sweet, competitive edge!

Join 2v2, 3v3, and 5v5 multiplayer matches in either casual or ranked matches, selecting a hero from a roster of superhuman football champs. Deploy Bun-E’s robotic rabbits to block an attacker’s shot on goal. Cross the field with Frostine’s ice slide to rocket down the pitch high above defenders’ heads, or pass it to Kenzo for a fiery bicycle kick.

Combine those extreme hero powers with real-world soccer tactics to set up epic plays and get the crowd going wild. Mix in an easy-to-learn control scheme to tackle, tap, pass, and aim jaw-dropping scoring kicks, all in the midst of the zaniest soccer action ever seen on Earth. Start playing for free with rotating heroes, purchase the Founder’s Pack to unlock all current and future heroes, and earn coins for skins, emotes, and other cosmetics – no pay-to-win here.

Football Heroes League will launch as a free-to-play title on September 16, 2025, on PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. It will join the currently available PC version via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

The game will support English, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), French, German, Japanese, Italian, Spanish, Polish, and Korean language text.
