The Fallout 76: Gone Fission Update is here. Fallout 76 has seen a resurrgence with the premiere of the Prime Video adaptation Fallout and it’s been a great itm to either come back to the MMO or pick it up for the first time with Season 21. However, its been missing one thing, and its comeing with Season 21. With the new Fallout 76: Gone Fission Update, launching on June 3 for all platforms including Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PlayStation 5 and 4, fishing is here.

While the expansive game has continued to expand since its launch, its just been missing one element, the abiity to fish. Sure the fish may be loaded with rads but hey, its all in the act. The Fallout 76: Gone Fission Update is available free for all players. The update brings the highly anticipated, and much requested summer pastime to the Wasteland after 21 Seasons.

What is coming to Fallout 76: Gone Fission update?

Season 21’s Gone Fission, players can look forward to exploring places and cast out around Appalachia. But it’s not just sitting on whatever passes for a dock in the Wasteland, additionally, the new Fallout 76 Update includes a questline to secure their first Fishing Rod and a school of new in-game content and rewards.

This new update turns every place that players can swim into a place where they can fish. To fish with the Fallout 76: Gone Fission Update, players will use different bait to abide by changing weather conditions, hold onto their fishing rods, and explore to find new locations.

All of which impact the kinds of fish types that will spawn. Because of this, any angler looking to make the most of the beloved MMO pasttime can try various combinations to hook a variety of catches—common fish, one of 12 prized Axolotls available each month, and Local Legends fit for an Appalachian tall-tale.

But you’re not just fishing for trophies in Gone Fission, players can eat fish to restore Health and Hunger, or convert them into Fish Bits and cook them into recipes for additional effects. The Season 21 Update also allows players to share a snack with Linda-Lee, the giant hermit crab of Fishermen’s Rest, to receive a Legendary item. All the details on everything included in this fishy update can be found here.

Season 21: Gone Fission Update will come with new fishing challenges. When completed. These challenges reward players with fishing rod upgrades and scaly new C.A.M.P. items.

Fallout 76: Gone Fission will be available on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PlayStation 5 and 4 on June 3. Fallout 76 is also available on Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus Extra.
