- And much more!
This is a basic summary, but let’s get into the nitty-gritty of these fun new additions.
Planet Coaster 2 Features
Restaurants
A new addition to Planet Coaster 2, restaurants, will enhance the experience for both players and park visitors. But what exactly does this new add-on entail?
- Players will now be able to build and open restaurant facilities!
- Benches and tables can be connected to restaurants.
- Vendors serve food and drink from a counter, and guests will take their meals on a tray to a table.
- Customize each menu by selecting different ingredients from the menu options.
- A restaurant blueprint per Planet Coaster 2 theme (Planet Coaster, Viking, Resort, Aquatic, and Mythology) will be available, as well as a dining booth, table, and restaurant-related signs.
Pool colour customization options
In Update 4, players will now be able to further customize their water parks using some extra colour options for pools. This includes:
- Colour customization options for pool tiles.
- Colour customization options for pool water.
- “Colour Strength” and “Lighting Glow” sliders for pool water.
Players can now also add the colour of their choice to water-shaped scenery items. Either way, this is a fun new feature that allows you to play around with colors, enhance theming aesthetics, and more.
Standard ‘de-themed’ coasters
After the last update delivered de-themed versions of The Vector and The Outamax, Update 4 is delivering two additional de-themed coasters for players to play around with. The standard versions of 2 more coaster rides will be included:
- Pearl Rides – Spinning Manic Mouse
- Valais & Nidwalden – Inverted – Flying
The Manta Ray and Mouse pieces from these coasters have now been added as individual scenery pieces for use throughout parks and other rides.
Returning ride
There’s nothing that warms the heart more as a coaster enthusiast than news of old rides returning. Another ride returns from the original Planet Coaster! Update 4 is bringing back the flat ride Scizzer, fully rebuilt for Planet Coaster 2 and ready for players to customize and guests to enjoy.
Career Mode Sandbox maps
Pre-made maps from Career mode Act 2 will be added to Sandbox mode as a starting point for creative projects. While not a huge change, this is enough to give players a new tool to use when navigating their creative projects and to refer back to.
This update features a whopping amount of technical updates and adjustments to make the game play smoother. The full list of all the changes can be found here, where the team goes over everything that will be adjusted to make players like you happier.
