Also, Paradox revealed that Charters of Commerce, the Mechanics Pack in Victoria 3 Expansion Pass 2, will launch on June 17 for $19.99. This trade-themed pack adds a powerful new layer to Victoria 3’s economy, introducing company charters, monopolies, diplomatic trade treaties, and prestige goods.

Players can use trade as a tool for influence—or domination—by empowering companies to expand globally, govern colonial regions, or establish regional headquarters.

More about Victoria 3 Expansion Pass 2

Victoria 3 Expansion Pass 2 is the second expansion pass for Paradox Interactive’s popular societal simulation of an era of dramatic change in technology, society, and diplomatic affairs. Expansion Pass 2 includes one Instant Unlock, one Mechanics Pack, two Immersion Packs, and one Music Pack, all available for a discounted price thanks to the Expansion Pass packaging.

Victoria 3: Expansion Pass 2 includes:
  • Trade Ships Bonus Pack: Immediately available to all who purchase the Expansion Pass, this art pack adds three new on-map ship models that cross the trade lanes of the world.
  • Charters of Commerce Mechanics Pack: Use the power of trade and business to build stronger ties with friends or to bludgeon your rivals in this Mechanics Pack focused on the economic levers of power. Establish trade companies, manage monopolies and sign new types of treaties as you increase the wealth of your citizens at the expense of others.
  • National Awakening Immersion Pack: Explore the complex and dynamic history of the Balkans. Rising nationalist energies and a fading Ottoman Empire offer new opportunities for the Austrian Empire and smaller regional powers, but these same nationalist energies may threaten the very foundation of the Habsburg regime.
  • Songs of the Homeland Music Pack: Expand your global empire to the accompaniment of new stirring songs to inspire national pride and celebrate the innovations of the modern age.
  • Iberian Twilight Immersion Pack: Revive the fortunes of the Spanish and Portuguese empires. Choose sides in the great political debates of the day and rebuild the global reach that once made your nation the marketplace of the world.

Charters of Commerce is a new mechanics pack for Victoria 3 centered on the role of trade in a century of rapid transformation. It adds more depth and detail to the trade system, including new interactions with national companies and new diplomatic deals.
